Write a ReviewHe was very clear on what had to be done and called back when part came in and called me to let me know
Worth every penny
Mike B is very friendly and did a great job!
They did a great job
Knew what was needed to be done immediately. When i hire someone for a project i hate being talked down to or not having something that i may not know explained clearly. This was not the case at all with Mr. Handyman of Huntington. They were friendly and explained everything that had to be done very plainly. I really appreciated the straightforward, no BS approach. They finished quicker than expected and even came in under the estimate! Another plus, of course. Lol. If you are looking for someone to do a project around your house, i cannot recommend Mr. Handyman enough. As you can probably guess at this point, i was extremely pleased with the job they did putting up my shed and wouldnâ t hesitate to hire them again.

They were prompt, friendly and knew what they needed to do in the installation of gas struts on my basemen trap door. When the first set wasn't large enough to do the job and they had to come back to use larger ones, they did so without hesitation. Carpenter was friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this company.
Thank you Linda. We are happy to hear things worked out with the struts. Let us know if we can help you in the future with any home projects.
excellent and very professional workmanship...I highly recommend.

Thank you for the wonderful review Maurice! We look forward to working together again :) - John Povey Jr
Extremely expensive and not good communication and or ethical buisness... Was hired by my wife for 2 regular interior doors. One was swapped out for another door we had on hand.... he had to move the door latch but no new trim or painting.....the other door they bought a 60 dollar door to install for a bathroom. Wife was quoted 400 prior to job they insist she was quoted 720 for labor alone... I guess maybe they performed some surgery as well....over 200hr for labor??,. I have not seen proof of this conformation asked for recipt to email still nothing. When they finshed wife was presented a 930 dollar bill which she signed and paid. I feel they took huge advantage of my wife and overcharged her. The installed door was not trimed out not even a doorknob.. I called was told she agreed to the price wife disagrees but of course she paid the bill unfortunately... I was told they will send recipt and proof of her agreement of being ripped of for 20ohr labor cost for one handyman but nothing yet.. I would not recommend or hire again and hope future customers do not get strong armed and taken advantage of as well by this company. His reply when I called was well your wife thought it was a fair price. Well no she did not but she was put in a position to pay at the end and did not know what to do so she paid over double her estimated price.. She did not agree to this price beforehand... There is no way I would have agreed to 720 labor to hang to plain interior doors.... horrible buisness ethics and very unprofessional. Plus floor pretty scratched up from the door swap upstairs...
We present a price range over the phone to all of our customers as a rough estimate. Upon arrival we present a set price (in the case you are referencing, it was within that range quoted). This is all before starting work. We are transparent and provide multiple opportunities of hearing pricing and allowing consideration, before requesting a signature to begin. Payment is not made until completion. If the price is not aligned with your projects budget, we understand. We stand behind the value we provide and the experience to go with it. In this instance pricing did not change from the phone call to the onsite. We also make no claim to hourly pricing, we use set projects so as not to have a variable cost. For privacy reasons we cannot share the contract with you unless we have approval from our client as it contain personal identifiable information. We did email it to her again this week. If she calls and asks us to send a copy to another email, there will be no issue at all. In the meantime a printed copy has been mailed to the billing address she provided.
