Dogwood Arboriculture

My wife and I had talked about removing a Walnut tree in our back yard. We were also interested in trimming a large Burch tree as well. One of our daughters recommended a tree removal company. We asked for an estimate and we were shocked by the price to remove 1 tree. I decided to check Angi's list, but I had never used it before. I entered in my project info and checked around. I couldn't decide on a vendor so I closed the application. Shortly after closing the application I saw that I had received an email from Homeadvisor.com with a selection to find Pros. Then, I started getting some phone calls about my project and set up 2 estimates from the calls. One of them was Dogwood Arboriculture LLC. Alex came out and gave me an estimate which was really good. We decided to also have another larger tree removed and have the Birch tree and Oak trees trimmed as well. The team was scheduled to do the work on May 9th, but had to reschedule to May 10th because of the storm we had on the 9th. They came in the morning and by the end of the day they were completely finished. These guys were fantastic. I was a concerned about safety, but when I saw how they climbed up the tree and had safety ropes and ropes to bring down the upper branches in a safe way I knew these guys were Pro's. We had other trees pruned as well and they did an outstanding job. The trees looked move natural after pruning and they removed a lot of dead branches from them as well. It was hard work because they had to hand-carry the branches and main tree sections up the hill in the back yard. The job also included the removal of two tree stumps. They used a grinder to tear them out. All of the tree logs, including the branches were shredded into a large truck for removal. Again, I was impressed by their safety precautions. They cleaned up everything and took the debris with them when they left. One Important thing I learned from this experience was that, if you have more trees that need pruning or removing, then you should do it all at the same time to get a better (and lower) cost estimate. This is because if costs them less money if they can do it in one day, instead of coming back out and setting up again. After watching them in action, I highly recommend these guys. We certainly will use them again - they are; "Our Branch Managers."

Outstanding service! The owners and the crews were very informative and friendly. The tree cam down in record time! The tree went through the chipper, ground out the stump, and they cleaned up the lawn. I would definitely call Dogwood Arboriculture again.

Outstanding service. On-site project needs were evaluated ahead and we immediately felt comfortable we were talking to a person with experience in removal of trees in the tight quarters of our job. Team was on time, very professional, very safety aware, very efficient, removed trees and stumps and cleaned up after themselves. Great experience!

Great crew!

Removed large tree in front yard with no damage to surrounding trees and shrubs. Tree was 75 feet tall and taken down in sections with cherry picker.

I had a complicated very tall maple. Alberto came out the day before the scheduled cut and assessed the situation. He and a crew came out the next day and spent two days cutting the tree. They did an excellent job!
