"For anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their home: I moved into my house about two years ago and would get floods in my basement during every storm. I tried to fix it myself environmentally but failed in my attempts. I then decided to finally fix the problem and get my basement waterproofed. Being relatively new to Delaware, I put in a request to get free estimates. I had a few companies come out to look at it and narrowed my choices down. I was down to Basement Waterproofing Specialists (BWS) and Basement Gurus. The difference was the representative from Basement Gurus had a more natural approach and took the time to ask numerous questions, as the other representatives asked little to no questions. The Basement Gurus representative suggested to fix internally AND externally, plus they even added a lateral system in my basement. No other company felt to even thought of a lateral systems or external drainage, or to even ask about it. I could not speak more highly of the representative and his team at Basement Gurus, they took the time to explain every step and the process before and during the installation to keep me involved with what was going on. The crew was extremely polite and respectful of my house, they were very efficient and they *did not play games* for lack of a better word. lol The very next day we had heavy rains, which I was excited to test out my waterproofing system! During and after it rained there was not even a single drop of water in my basement or laundry room. The representative even had his team remove and replace all of the studs that had become moldy and also put in new mold-resistant drywall. Basement Gurus treated us as if we were family and for anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their house, call Basement Gurus, they truly stand themselves apart from the competition!"

"I met with four contractors total and as soon as we met with Matt, I knew Phase 4 was the right company for the job. He was forthcoming and honest about the work that we were asking about and had a quote to us within 2 days. The project listing here is deceiving. The scope of my project was to remove and replace all of the following: Roof, Siding, All Windows (including new bay window), All Doors, Gutters, and Double Asphalt Driveway. Plus, a New Front Porch, and install a french drain in the back yard. Total estimated time to complete was 8 weeks and that timeline was met with time to spare. The work is beyond excellent and we are totally satisfied. Hearing my wife talk about how great everything looks is completely satisfying. Our neighbors have been calling and walking by our home and complimenting us all week. We had one hiccup as a worker was sick and didn't call in for the day. We called Matt and he had 4 people here within 2 hours to complete the work. We worked with Joe, Ed, and John's crews. All top class individuals and always, I mean always, took my calls and answered all of my questions. We couldn't be happier with the work they performed. All of the crews cleaned up after themselves and returned everything back the way it was. The work was recently completed so Matt came over for a walk through and we addressed some very minor concerns (window screen not closing, storm door needed adjustment, exterior paint on newly installed bay window knees) and Matt had 6 people over the very next day to address each and every concern we brought to Matt's attention. As of now, I am currently expecting a quote from Phase 4 to build a new back patio roof for me. I highly recommend Phase 4 for any construction projects you may need and will personally be using them for any future projects."

"It is with deep satisfaction that I recommend Gradys Painting and Plastering & Construction. Mr. George Grady is a skilled craftsman. He was hired to correct long neglected and extensive masonry and window issues on a large, beautiful Presbyterian Church built in the Civil War era in Philadelphia. The property was neglected with only minimal maintenance performed over the last 40+ years. The building was in severe decline and in need of stabilization and restoration on many fronts. Cracked ledge plates were chipped out and reestablished, internal walls damaged by leakage were broken out and repaired, brickwork was repointed and in severe cases reestablished to original strength and beauty. Leaks around the base of the building were addressed to stabilize deterioration of the foundation. Large rotted window sills under beautiful stained glass windows were restored after significant masonry reestablishment due to water damage under the rotted out sills. Broken and missing stained glass windows are in the process of repair and replacement. The process started with new metal frames cast by Mr. Grady. The new frames will hold clear painted replications of the original stained glass, also crafted by Mr. Grady. Regular windows all around the church and manse were also repaired and restored. Roof leaks were accurately identified and repaired. A sagging plaster ceiling has been torn out and restored. All this work was done by Mr. Grady alone or with an occasional helper. He worked with care, expertise and respect for the original structure. The results far exceeded our expectations and have injected new life into a building on the brink. This building, owned by the Presbytery of Philadelphia, now houses a new urban ministry in a newly gentrifying area of the city. We are happy to have had the good fortune to be connected to Gradys Painting and Plastering & Construction by Service Magic."
