"We needed to replace an existing wooden gate across a concrete drive that extends up the side of the house (but really isn't big enough for a car.) I actually called on around 7 companies prior to finding Rutledge Construction. Most didn't want my job because it was too small or they wanted to charge me a small fortune to do it. When I called Joshua he agreed do our job for a reasonable hourly rate. We tore out the old gate ourselves and purchased the fencing materials & gate hardware. At first because the job was small we thought that he could fit me in between his larger jobs. That didn't work out so we set a firm date (I would recommend this based on his great reviews and how popular he seems to be.) He showed up at 8 am and worked straight through till 3 pm. I don't think he took a break at all during that time. The fence & gate he built for us is well constructed (We replaced a fully opening 11 foot space with a stationary fence with a 3 foot man gate in the middle on a small slope). He left the worksite very clean. I'm happy he was willing to work with us & very pleased with the end result. I would recommend Rutlege Construction to others."

"Getting Egress windows installed in our basement was the first large scale project we did on our new (to us) house and I got quotes from 3 different companies. Tony Zilka and his team gave a clear and concise estimate, offered the quickest turn around time, and were SO friendly and communicative. When the time came to do the project, they were thorough, confident, and again, really friendly and respectful while on site. They anticipated it being a 2 day project but actually got it done in one full day (2 Egress windows and 2 replacement windows) and clean up. He showed up on time, every day, and took painstaking care to do the siding and painting job as if it was his own home. The siding installation, the window trim, the caulking, and the painting were all done professionally. Paul doesn't just bid a job, and then hand off the work. On any given day, Paul could be seen on a ladder or the scaffolding, and even with a paint brush in hand. I don't typically provide public reviews of contractors, but, I was impressed with Paul, his skills, integrity, and work ethic.
