Initially, we were skeptical their system would work because the rats were leery of the bait boxes at first and wouldn't go near them. (They're smart and suspicious of any change in their environment.) Took them about two weeks to get used to the sight of them, but once they lost their fear of the boxes, they "took the bait", completely emptied two of the containers, and, voila, no more rats! Senate was also sensitive to our concern for wildlife and was willing to collect the boxes a week early once we were certain the rats were gone.
