"I had a Shearling Suede Jacket of the highest quality. My daughter's cat had a UTI infection and pee'd all over it! It was smelly and badly damaged. I wasn't sure it could be cleaned especially back to its like new condition. I sent it UPS from the bay area to Premier Leather care. It took them a few months because they had to work and work on it but they were able to remove all stains from the jacket without damaging the color or quality of the material. "In December 2018 we contracted with Grigore Hardwood Flooring to install Brazilian cherry flooring in our foyer, after first removing 40-year old ceramic floor tile and the concrete/mortar base it rested on. The price was reasonable, and the result was outstanding! We began with inspections and quotes from Grigore and another flooring company with excellent reputation. Both companies responded promptly. Perhaps a significant reason we chose Grigore were the examples of decorative flooring shown on his website. We chose to have our dark Brazilian cherry highlighted by a border of the dark wood and light maple. The tear-out was more work than anticipated, but Grigore and his crew did a great job of preparing the new subfloor. Indeed, his carpenter who did most of the prep work and finished flooring was highly skilled and did excellent work. We could not have been more pleased."

"Okay.  No real attention to detail. Clutter, which I will admit is a problem and no doubt hard to clean around, was moved and left even more  jumbled and unsightly. Vendor had sold me a one-time cleaning special priced at $95 for cleaning 3000 feet.  When she arrived, I disclosed that my house was more than 3000 feet (more like 3,500) and she said she'd take an extra $50 to do the whole thing, on top of the $95 I had already paid.  Thus I paid nearly 50 percent more money for her to clean about 16 percent more space.  I could have negotiated further, but just didn't feel up to it. Not really sure about these low-priced "specials" advertised on Angie's List...find that I feel better about delineating a specific job with a specific vendor.  Live and learn."
