Super expensive! Simple sump pump replacement that took approximately 1/2 hour. The total cost $825. Sump price (on line) $250. Install labor $575. Wow! What a ripoff!

They were prompt and they let me see what they saw when they used the camera to look through the pipes. After digging up the front lawn and cut part of the sidewalk to replace the pipes they were honest about how the sidewalk would be replaced if I wanted them to do it. Later, when the dirt started settling and the dirt needed to be redistributed they came out in one day after I called to do it.

found the problem and solved it

Great job fast service

They showed up on time, brought a camera for the line. I was asked if I had a clean-out on the main line. I explained I had two. One inside the house, in our basement bathroom, and one outside. They asked to see the one inside. The opening to access the inside cleanup was too small and oddly placed. The wall needed to be opened to access the clean-out. I was asked if it was okay to break the wall & tile. I asked if they could CUT the wall to leave a clean hole. They did bring a Saws-all. I saw them start to use it, but when I stepped away, they also ripped out tile by hand leaving unevenly broken tile and a ragged hole to repair. They cleared the line fairly quickly. When finalizing payment I was told the job would be much simpler if I had an outside cleanup. I reminded them I told them that I had an exterior clean-out installed. The main plumber chuckles and responds "Oh! We could have used that and not torn up your wall!" Gee. Thanks. My house is old. 100+ years old. I have had interior and exterior plumbing work done before. I understand that plumbing is a heavy, messy job. That's why I hire someone. I can easily say that they left the worst mess for this kind of repair of any plumbing contractor I have used to date. I liked that they brought the camera with, rather than needing to make a second trip. I didn't like that this contractor didn't listen to the answer I gave and chose an option for repairs that: 1) left me needing to repair the wall and 2) left me with chunks of sewage in bathroom to clean. I would use them again, but only as a last resort. They did clear the line satisfactorily. I would also recommend them, but explain my experience.
