Blue Flame Heating and Air Conditioning

There have been a couple of problems with our heat pump. We have had other techs out, but Kevin is the best. He stuck with the repair over multiple visits to make sure he got to the bottom of the issue and advocated for us the whole time. My 90 year old mother in law lives in the house and with the heat coming up, we needed to make sure she was safe.

Ben did a very Professional job. He Answered all my questions and did a thorough job maintaining my AC unit. I would definitely hire him again.

What started as a routine maintenance visit turned serious fast. Carl serviced our furnace and found carbon monoxide levels over 300 ppm in the venting - something we had no idea about. He also caught that the motor was too weak to properly push exhaust out, meaning CO was lingering instead of venting safely. If that leaked into the home, it could’ve been dangerous. He flagged it immediately and told us to get a CO detector right away - honestly may have saved us. Carl walked us through repair vs. replacement with no pressure and had Chris out the same day, during a snowstorm no less. Once we chose a system, Vladi came quickly, and Carl even returned to help with the install. Seamless experience, great communication, and real care. Huge thanks to Carl, Chris, and Vladi - Blue Flame is a team you can trust.

The heat pump was installed in March 2024. Very good service. I subscribe to the maintenance contract. Every few months a technician is scheduled to check all functions of the pump, air cleaner, filters and thermostat communication. One was here today. Helped me further understand the thermostat Alert symbols, checked & replaced the worn out air filter housing as part of the free maintenance. Very respectful and knowledgeable.

The installation has been followed up with a recent maintenance technician visit. Very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I am better off for Blue Flame's technical support.

Great service. We had them install a new hybrid heat pump into our existing forced air system. They went above and beyond in addressing noise issues that arose post installation. They followed up and fixed the issue immediately. Would absolutely recommend

This company use to be really good, since they hired out of the country phone dispatchers their service has gone strait downhill. I have hired them three times, two of the three times they never showed up. When I called to find out what happened they said someone would contact me soon as possible. They never called me. The last service I had set it up for right at 8:00 am, said I would be first on schedule, the service tech showed up at 10:00! 2 hours late and said that was his starting time! I will never use this company again and have told all my friends!!!

Weâ  ve had a dispute with Blue Flame Heating and Air Conditioning (out of Montlake Terrace but now owned by American Residential Services [Rescue Rooter, et al]. They installed our furnace 8 years ago, but Blue Flame seems to have been sold about a year ago. At installation of the furnace, we signed a maintenance plan that took $16.48 out of our credit card monthly, but would pay for services during the year. It worked fine . . . until the company sold. We called for service, got a service date, but no one ever came, and no one called to apologize or reschedule even after we called them. Blue Flame took $346.08 until we stopped them with a complaint. Our credit card rebated $65.92. Our complaint to the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau got us a rebate of $115.36 from Blue Flame, but they kept $164.80 as a gift. Stay clear of Blue Flame. They will scam and cheat you. Read Yelp, Angi, and Glassdoor to see others whoâ  ve had similar problems.

Months after install, unit failed. Came once, looked at it, said they needed parts and disappeared completely. Effectively filtering through their answering service. Zero follow-up..

I had a great experience working with this company for the replacement of my gas furnace with a heat pump solution. From the General Manager, Daryl, to Zane, the Senior Comfort Consultant, Rick in the office, Brad the Installation Manager, and the entire crew that came out, everyone did a fantastic job. I'm very pleased with the results and can't wait to enjoy comfortable temperatures in my home throughout the year.

I am on their Maintenance program so service category didnâ t apply to me . They come just to clean and check my units. I have been with them over ten years and never had an issue.Always friendly and knowledgeable.

I would recommend but with a reservation. Two areas that kind of I felt they could have explained a little better: 1. Price differences of 80% and 90% efficiency units. 2. Punctuality - I was scheduled to have work performed after lunch. Crew did not arrived until about 7PM because they have just completed their 1st project and completed the job at my place a little past midnight. What's concerning is that the crew has worked 17.5hrs the whole day assuming they have started at 7AM and work all the way to 1230AM. The likelihood of making errors were already high but they completed the job.

The service technician was great but I was extremely unhappy with the scheduling. They rescheduled my appointment 3 times before someone finally came out.

The technicians were polite, professional, and efficient. But communication with their call center was bad, After an initial service visit the technician recommended replacing a badly-worn part that he determined was available about 15 miles away. He said I would be called to set up an appointment for the following week. They didnâ  t.I called them every few days for two and a half weeks and was repeatedly told someone would call me back and they never did. Nevertheless, ultimately the job was well done and the furnace is working great.

Their representative, Miranda, came to the house and went through the possibilities very thoroughly. We made our decision and the work was done in one day.

Long with Blue Flame was excellent in explaining the system to me. He took his time to do the job right.

Was 4 hours late, only took 15 minutes to complete job I have had other pros and the job took longer. Did not carry filters to change out. Was more interested in electronic filters than completing my work.
