Dan was very professional and meticulous at his skill of laying pavers. I had 650 sq. ft. around the existing concrete pool deck which required hand excavation. There were several curved areas which he fit with precision. He understands what the customer is hoping to accomplish and is willing to provide his professional advice to achieve the perfect result. Dan Fitzsimons was one of the most personable, knowledgeable person I have met in the lawn service business. He took the time to explain everything involving the sod installation, came to install the date and time he said he would be here and nstalled the sod perfectly. Dan is the best contractor I have worked with. I hired him to put in a new paver front walk, and after seeing the quality of his work, had him put in a new paver patio in back yard, redo all my perennial beds, plant a row of arborvitae, and slice seed my entire yard. He stuck to his estimate, showed up when he said he would, and did high quality work. Totally transformed my yard and added much needed curb appeal. Several people in my neighborhood have commented on how nice the front walk and landscaping looks. I would not hesitate to hire him again in the future and would recommend Dan and Charter Oak Landscape Design to anyone looking for hardscape or landscape design.

Dan is the best contractor of any kind I've ever hired. Not only is he a really good guy, he does what he says he's going to do, arrives when he says he will etc. We've had no less than six people from the neighborhood so far inquire as to who did our drive way because its so well done. You can not do better than Dan and Charter Oak Landscape- he'll be back to do more work for us.

It was mostly a sod install or a new lawn, but had mulching with white marble chips and hemlock plus fabric underlay for pre-existing flower beds. I couldn't afford any design services but with Dan's touch, the 10 year-old yard looks a million bucks now. Well worth it so I can get on with my flower and vegetable gardening. Will call him back for greenhouse and Koi pond.

We were very please with the person who did the work and the work that he did. Dan showed up when he told us he was going to be here, kept us inormed of his plans and was extrememly courtesy.
