We hired Clapper to replace our old roof because they are a local company, had a competitive price, and were responsive to our concerns about protecting the landscaping. After we verbally accepted the contract, they sent a roofing crew of 7 people that same week, so they did not miss the day with the best weather. They said they wanted to get the job done while most of the landscaping was still dormant. They completely exceeded our expectations, doing a beautiful job of roof installation and cleaning up the debris from the landscape completely. No nails or small shards of asphalt were left behind and no plants were trampled. They even moved a beehive away from the house for us prior to starting the job. We absolutely would choose Clapper again.

Great Crew!! Due to weather conditions they ended up working on Saturday and Sunday. Not one single complaint was heard, they all did their job to the fullest. Even late in the job they did not cut corners and the finishing touches were done with the utmost care.

I waited 9 months for this company to install a new roofing system, which was installed incorrectly, leaked and looked horrible with uneven ridge vents and uneven shingle. The first day none of their nail guns worked so they used 2 1/2 inches siding nails to install my shingles. So many shingles did not have nails in the nail-line to prevent them from separating, (it may take up to five years or longer before the shingles start to separate and slide off the roof due to missing nails in the nail-line). Also, instead of butting up the shingles side-to-side, they overlapped so many of them as well as overlapping the starters, therefore, installed incorrectly, and looked horrible. Moreover, several places the ice-n-water shield was installed incorrectly, as well as **missing** in critical places. They shingled over defective plywood without replacing them like a professional company would have done to protect the homeowner. The sales pitch sounded good but they did not follow up with what they promised to do. I do think the owner is a nice person but to have SO MANY errors speaks volumes about the company, I addressed my concerns with the owner who looked over my roof and told me it was done correctly. But, I knew there were issues therefore hired an inspector. The home inspector said my entire roofing job needed to be replaced by a **Professional** roofing company. Therefore, I hired a **Professional** roofing company from Sidney, NY. they installed a new roof on my house in 2 days, versus the 6 days it took this company to incorrectly finish the job. Moreover, the Sidney based **Professional** roofing company installed the new roof per manufacturers instructions, they did a Premium installation, unlike Clapper Construction. Furthermore, the Sidney based Roofing Company actually put all the ice-n-water shield on the plywood and not on the underlayment like this company, they replaced all defective plywood on my roof, put new Shingles, per manufacturer instructions, installed flashing under my siding and now I have no leaks, even shingles and even Ridge Vents, unlike what was done by Clapper Destruction. I would recommend anyone having a roof installed by Clapper Construction to hire a home/roof inspector upon completion. The Shingle Manufacturer referred Home inspector based out of Binghamton, NY was very thorough and Professional. When Clapper Construction installed my roof, I had leaks, the roof looked ugly because so many shingles and starters were not installed properly and also had missing flashing and ice-n-water shield. I had to wait 9 months for them to start performing their contract, Unlike the Sidney based Roofing Co, who works like a team so they complete their contracts in a timely fashion. The roofing Co. from Sidney, NY had respectful and courteous installers who respected me unlike several on the Clapper Construction crew. Unsure why Clappers installed my roof in such a horrible manner. If you want a roof done correctly, and in a timely fashion, with professional and courteous workers, then hire the Roofing Co. from Sidney, NY. I hired them now for three homes and they were all done professionally and look amazing.. The Sidney based Roofing Co. honors their promises and does so within a month period. They can complete their contracts in a timely fashion because they work as a team, as well as know what they are doing. So what took 6 days for Clapper Destruction to complete, only took 2 days by the Sidney, NY based **Professional** Roofing Co. who are courteous professional installers. I am saddened to write a negative review about a company but, I do believe others need to be aware of these issues before making a huge investment in their property... I relied on the reviews from online sites to my detriment. I will make sure not to rely on companies with 5 star ratings unless I confirm with actual customers and not just online reviews...

Quality work, great attitude, very reliable. Very pleased.

Overall, quality workmanship, the pros come when they are supposed to, are right on task, everything is clean, they pick up after themselves.
