We started a remodel in April of 2022 (we went to the company as it is a veteran owned since my husband, father and 2 sons put more are all vets) He did great starting in May 2022 we have had limited contact, and the non-answer of text he will show up sometimes then not for weeks. We have an upstairs 80% complete and a basement 10% with a job that was supposed to be done by July 4th by the finisher who came in after Burk Works completed their part. Chris the owner has not returned calls and bounced checks to subcontractors like the electric company, the painters, and more. We filed with BBB but since he did not return their phone calls it was dropped since he is not a member. All the excuses we were given ranged from broken down truck 4x, he did not bid our job right so he had to take others and complete them so he could cover the cost of things needed on our job. We gave him deposits for materials so he could get them all at one time but if that was so what did he spend that money on since he had to work other jobs to pay for our materials according to him and the deposit was already bought and the list goes on. We are a blue-collar family both retired and active duty Navy and now we are stuck needing another contractor, window installer, painter, drywaller, and more. Be careful of this contractor

Chris completed the first phase of my project adequately. He was paid to start the drywall phase over 3 weeks ago. He has been a no show since. Chris has made many excuses, and has told me he would be stocking materials and then not show up. Lately, he no longer responds to calls or text messages. I have asked him to return the money ($6,317.50), or start the project to no avail. Do not hire Chris. He is a thief.

We hired him to install a drywall. He never got the job done and never answer phone calls. I would not recommend him to anybody else.

We had a great experience with Chris at Burk Works! They removed our popcorn ceiling, applied new texture, and painted. Quality of work was awesome and it was done very quickly. We would hire them again.

Chris was fast talking, a good salesman, full of guarantees and assurances that the job would be done before we moved into our home. His company had over two weeks to complete the project in our empty house before the movers were scheduled to move in all of our belongings. We wanted the popcorn ceiling removed, retextured, and painted, and some drywall repair done. Chris wanted the job completely paid for in advance. We have had the experience that contractors disappear after they are paid, but Chris said that **when the money stops, the work stops**. So we paid him--and the work stopped. I called Chris and told him that no one was showing up, and moving day was getting closer. He told me that **his** part of the job was done, that the texturing and painting were supposed to be done by a subcontractor, and that if he was not showing up, that was not Chriss problem. He immediately became rude and aggressive, telling me that he did not care what kind of feedback we left (I had not mentioned it), and why did we think we were so special? He said he had more work than he could handle, and as far as he was concerned, he was done with us. A man eventually showed up to finish the ceilings, but said he could only work some evenings, because he had a day job. He did not finish the job in time, the work was poorly done, and no cleanup was even attempted. He kept saying he was finished, and that we were supposed to pay him separately. We are left with walls that have texturing compound slopped on them, a poorly textured ceiling, and light fixtures that were removed, but not replaced. This is the worst experience with a contractor we have ever had. Do yourselves a favor, and do not hire them.

The drywall repair job was completed in a timely and professional manner!

Chris is very professional in his approach and dealings. His crew did a fabulous job on the drywall repair and cleanup! They did the whole job in 2 visits of about 2 hours each time.

Everyone who worked on the project was great, and the quality of work was high. I would hire them again and recommend them to others.

Looking for a good Drywall contractor? Burk Works Construction, LLC was fantastic. I have a primary job for repairing some drywall due to some plumbing work. They did a quote to me with pictures and a description of the repair size over the phone. Then were able to come out the next day and do the job. Very conscientious about calling to let us know their arrival time, very courteous while on site, did a phenomenal job patching our wall and making the texturing flow with the rest of the wall. Can't even tell that a patch is there!! While he had his materials out, he agreed to fix another spot in the ceiling that had been bugging me as well. Again, made it look seamless with everything else which was awesome. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely use again.

I hired them to do my texture and it came out perfect! The project was completed on time and very professionally. Very respectful and makes sure your 100% satisfied with his work. Will definitely be going with Burk Works for my next project.

If you want to re-do the work done, this is the company for you. We had our popcorn ceiling removed and when we did our ''final'' walk through, there were imperfections everywhere. It honestly looked horrible. He kept giving excuses and saying that is how it is supposed to be but I'm no dummy. This is not my first popcorn ceiling removal. We asked them to repaint everything again and it still looked horrible. We had to redo and repaint the whole ceiling ourselves. Would not recommend if you want the job done right the first time. Also, one of the guys trucks leaked a 3x4 foot oil spill out front and every truck leaked oil on our driveway. Extremely unprofessional.

Chris has been a great communicator and really seems to take pride in his work.

Have had some work done in our Carriage House this week by Burks Works Construction. They did drywall repair, grouting and general repairs. Their dry wall work is excellent. Nice team, responsive, effective communications, polite, clean. Met their original quoted time commitment for all work.
