We recently purchased a 100 year old 2-flat in north Chicago in need of a lot of repairs. Seems like the previous owners loved to DIY or cost cut on upgrades/repairs, so fixes and upgrades we were planning on doing a couple of years downline need to be handled now. We thought the boiler furnace was fine, and as soon as it was turned on it was clear it wasn't - it kept clicking on and off, leaking, and our plumber let us know one or both of our motors could be out. Because the unit was old (almost 40 years), many companies I spoke with didn't have the knowhow to assess our furnace. Elite HVAC's was able to come out, immediately identify our issue (both of the motors were out), and provide quotes on a repair or replacement. We decided to go with a replacement even though it was going to stretch us, given the condition of the furnace. Initially, the tech thought we could get away with a 150,000 BTU furnace, but when his manager (Frank) checked his photos and came to our place to double check the current furnace and calculate the square footage, it became clear we needed a 300,000 BTU unit. Frank did everything to make the misquote right given the difference in their cost on the furnace and our financial situation and we settled on an amount that we both could live with. When it came to the install, Elite HVAC's people were professional, courteous, and on point throughout. Replacing the old furnace and putting in the new one exceeded the outside estimate of how long the job would take, but it did not change the final cost. When things went wrong (I cannot stress enough how poorly maintained and "improved" this house is), they handled it and fixed things. Guys, this company is honest, professional, and amazing. If you are in their service area, call them first. We will be doing so in the future.

Got us up and running very quickly and for a fair price

We have a condo in Oak Park that had a furnace that was not working and it was cold outside. So, we called Elite, and they came in the same day and fixed the problem. They are really efficient and professional, and their fees are reasonable.

The technician was early and knowledgeable. He was able to quickly deduce what the issue was, fix it, and provided tips on preventing it from happening again.

Elite has always treated my right. I had an outage during the brutal cold and Elite was able to come to my home the same day and fix the furnace. My furnace board went bad and needed replacement. Elite was able to replace the board and turn the heat back on. They are professional and always pickup the phone!

My first time using home advise., When I summited my request, I received a call from Juan from Elite and he had a service man out within an hour. Luckily it was a simple problem that was fixed in a short time and I wa able to get to work. I have an older furnace and they sent me a quote on replacing it.

Great respoveness and technician that came out. Was clear and precise about what he was doing for regular maintenance of our furnace. The only negative I have is that I needed a new blow capacitor. The cost for Elite to replace it was $170. I was able to go to an HVAC store, buy a new capacitor for $12, and replace it easily myself. Aside from this high price for additional service, the actual service it self was great.

Meet all my expectations.

My AC blower started making noises on Friday. I figured it was a bearing issue, I called several Repair shops around my area. Most of the companies, that called me back, were not very forthright as far as the pricing. Elite was very transparent. They even came over on a Sunday to look at the issue and confirmed the motor bearing. They went ahead and ordered the part, and to expedite it paid extra (I appreciated the expediting, as I was leaving town soon). As soon as the part arrived they were at my door and got the unit changed. The Repair person was very courteous and knowledgeable. The whole job took about 45 minutes (including cleaning). The motor was $500 +$50 for express delivery. The inspection cost (Sunday visit) , I was told, would be waived if Elite got the job, so that was waived. My total bill was $720. So for 45 minutes of labor I was charged $170 (however I got a discount of $50 with a voucher). As mush as the service was superior (absolutely no complaints). The labor price, I felt was too high!

Very knowledgeable and thorough

good professional and didn't try to uncharge us into a new compressor even though ours is 25 years old. Just recharged it and works great.
