Emerald Plumbing did a number of repairs at my elderly mother's house. This included gas & water line repairs, & installation of a new hot water heater & new furnace. We were unaware the air condition unit was not reconnected until late spring. After numerous calls & no response, we contacted an AC company who indicated the AC unit had not been reconnected during the furnace installation. Emerald responded saying they would send out a tech to reconnect the unit. A tech never came, then the supervisor via the phone said the unit had a leak & a new AC was needed. Yearly maintenance is done on the unit & its in excellent condition. We had the unit reconnected by another AC company who said it was in very good condition, we did the recommended monitoring & the unit worked perfectly all summer! It was clearly a company using misleading tactics & trying to take advantage of a good customer. This is after we had already $8,000 in repairs & new appliances. It turned an expensive & decent experience bad!

Minor annoyances: Arrived later than expected (9:30 vs 8:00AM). When my reservation was taken I was not asked about digging out the top of my Septic Tank. When the man arrived he initially wanted to charge me extra $$ for digging the access port out. This seems like an obvious issue that should have been quoted up-front. As it turns out their man discovered the port was only a couple inches below the grass and he did not charge me. He worked very hard to make sure my tank was fully cleaned out.

James was very polite and professional. He did a thorough evaluation and review of the work to be done and then explained to me his findings, what he could do to address the problem and how much it would cost. He performed the work in a clean, efficient, thorough and excellent manner. I would hire this company again and refer them to others.

Installed new disposal, but forgot to drill hole for dishwasher drain into disposal. Rookie mistake. Called them when dishwasher would not drain and they came and drilled hole for dishwasher drain into disposal and told me that the plumber who installed the disposal no longer worked for them.

Gary showed ahead of schedule. He did a walk through to understand where he needed to set up hoses, explained the septic clean out process and did a through cleanup of hoses. As a first time customer, he also explained documents associated with service. I also liked the fact that Emerald Plumbing Company also has on line scheduling which made it easier to work with my schedule to minimize scheduling conflicts. Awesome I will definitely use them again.

There was a problem initially with the scheduling and I had to call 3 times before someone responded and finally Rob called me and was on the job in 30 minutes. He did a great job. however, within a few days, the pipe under the sink was leaking. I called and someone showed up within 30 minutes and corrected the problem. Overall experience was very good and the technicians were very professional and courteous. The work areas was kept clean at all times. I would recommend Emerald Plumbing

Editing my previous review. Frank was a nice guy. He was able to install new fixtures to the sink in kitchen and upstairs bathroom face bowl. However, when installing fixtures in the shower they left me with not able to turn the fixture handle for hot water. I get tepid water at best to shower. They had lots of trouble and he stayed 4 hours past his time to get off (total of 12 hours). However, when they left they did not tell me that I could not get hot water. I discovered that at bath time.

No one showed up for the appointment. I had no problem making an appointment in a timely fashion which was good. I called on a Wednesday and made an appointment for the following Friday at 7:00 a.m. On the day of the appointment I made sure I arrived at the property on time. However, at about twenty after seven i called because no had arrived and I did not receive a call. It was then that I found out that they had no record of my appointment. The person I spoke with on Wednesday, who had assured me that someone would be there at 7:00 a.m., was off that day and apparently made no record of the appointment and also did not let anyone about the appointment. They said they could get someone there in an hour. Initially I declined because I was upset; however about 15 minutes later I called back and told them to go ahead and send someone as my morning was already shot and i just wanted the work done. Now I was going to be even later than anticipated to work. The plumber arrived about 1 1/2 or so later. He was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. For my inconvenience (due to their error), I asked about a discount (anything) for my trouble and received nada, nothing, ZERO. So even though the work was done satisfactorily and the price was reasonable, I would NOT use them again. I don't like what happened. When I make an appointment, I expect folks to show up. And because of this snafu, I was very late to work.

One of the problems that is totally not true is Emerald Plumbing Company never schedule an exact time appointment for any customer (7:00 am) all of our appointments are scheduled in two hour windows , as we are unable to predict traffic conditions or other issues that may come up during the day .Our first appointment time starts at 7am-9am which is what she was giving . However I'm not sure as to what she was expecting within the schedule I do apologize for any misunderstanding . I'm sure Emerald Plumbing Co. tech was well equip to handle any and all of her plumbing needs . Emerald Plumbing Company will strive everyday to provide quality plumbing services . The plumber arrived late which concerned me. This was my first experience using Home Advisor and they arranged the appointment for me. When he didn't show up at 9a, I assumed he wasn't coming. However, he arrived 45 mins later and from that point forward, he was great. He was knowledgeable, customer-focused, and explained what he was doing. He advised me how I could handle one of the three tasks I had for him (I have some plumbing experience), which saved me $$. He clearly was a perfectionist--an excellent trait for a plumber! I highly recommend Emerald!

They came in and used a camera to look into main drain and got it working within a couple of hours..... They saved me a bundle because another company said I had a broken main drain and was ready to dig 15feet deep and charge me a lot of money for nothing... All they did was unclogg the drain which the other company could not.... I appreciate their honesty
