Ohio Basement Authority

Charged 2200.00 to fix a leak pertaining to a crack in foundation. After 3 cancellations of the day work was scheduled they finally showed up. Rained the day after they supposedly fixed the leak and water was in the basement. For the last 4 days have been trying to get a customer service call back to have them come back and fix the issue . Very poor customer service and for that reason I would not recommend this company. Quick to sell your service but not quick to respond to issues after they ? cash the check ?

I scheduled a foundation service with Ohio Basement Authority in April 2026 and signed up with GreenSky. Then I cancelled the service within 3 days. No one from Ohio Basement Authority ever performed any work in my basement at all, ever. I spoke with the manager (Twinsburg location) and he confirmed it was cancelled and I was within my rights to cancel without penalty. However, GreenSky still sends me a bill of over $5000. I have called and emailed Ohio Basement Authority over 5 times and they have confirmed with me that my account is cancelled and have said the ~$5000 (which is now accruing late fees) was credited back to my account. This is obviously false as GreenSky keeps billing me. GreenSky opened an investigation with Ohio Basement Authority. Please all I need is the ~$5000 credited back to the account so I can close it for a service that never happened in the first place.

Absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had with a company! They are extremely predatory and convinced my 63 year old mother that she had to sign the contract THAT DAY, and she didn’t even understand what she was signing! The first day they were scheduled to do the job, they showed up hours late, and said they “weren’t the right crew to do the job”. We then had to wait a couple weeks for a different crew to come, and when they came they said they weren’t the right crew to do the job either!! 2 weeks later, ANOTHER crew came and said THE SAME EXACT THING!!! So after 3 times of getting the runaround, I was completely FED UP with this horrible company and decided to cancel the contract. They FINALLY did let me cancel, but are demanding we still pay $600! After all they put us through over 3+ months, they had the nerve to charge us $600 for an outlet! PLEASE AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! All they care about is dollar signs, not about the QUALITY of their work or customer service.

Exceptionally responsive and great at communication. Both the sales and work teams were friendly, personable, and helpful. I would definitely hire them again!

The sales rep. was very knowledgeable, and offered additional services that others had not. The price was fair, lower than others, the installers were excellent! They were efficient, skilled, and left the basement with no mess. They cared about the quality of their work and it showed. I would highly recommend them.

We were really impressed with Ryan R. and Bryan K. We needed our concrete patio cracks repaired, even, and leveled. They did an outstanding job! Very professional and explained everything to us in detail and asked if we had any questions prior to starting the work. Cleaned up any mess as they were working and after they finished. Needed a waterproofing company to waterproof my damaged basement, excellent workmanship, exceeded my expectation. The workers were very polite and knowledgeable. Completed the job in one day. Removed concrete flooring, install indoor water gutters, drilled several weep holes, removed old sump basin and sump pumps, installed new equipment, they also install a rubber barrier to guide water to the gutters and placed new concrete where needed. They removed all debris, the basement looked cleaner than before they started. I was impressed with the quality and value of Ohio Basement Authorities service. I would highly recommend this company. Good price and excellent service.

This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a business. I had work done on a crawl space and the replacement and addition of a backup sump pump. The work was scheduled to be completed all at once. On the first scheduled day/time, no one showed up. I texted the scheduling team and after approximately 3 hours it was determined that the technician was not going to be able to make it because he was still working at the previous days job. On the second scheduled day, it was determined that measurements were not accurately taken for the crawl space so that work could not be completed. They were able to install the new sump pump and the backup pump. However, they did not schedule the electrician to install the correct outlet. The third scheduled day no one informed me it was on the schedule. The only reason I knew about it was because the technician actually called to say he was not going to make it. The fourth day the electrician came and installed the outlet. The fifth day the technician could not do the work because the plumber needed to move a pipe had not been scheduled. The sixth day the work was finally completed. After taking so much time off of work, I asked for a discount which I did not receive!!!!! It is very sad because I have used them before and was very happy with the quality of the work. I will not ever use them again and I would recommend anyone who is considering using them to look elsewhere. There are a lot of quality b

Only received a bid so far. However, the pricing was great, the inspection was thorough, no pressure to decide immediately, the inspector was very knowledgeable, friendly, and his recommendations were greatly appreciated. Excited to have the work done, when it is finished, I will check back and give an update.

Robert and his crew lifted the back of my house in just a couple days. Drywall cracks closed up and doors latched better immediately. For the improvements the price was awesome.

My review is about the Cleveland Ohio crew. DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS!!!! They damaged support beams with their epoxy braces said they would fix, every team was informed of the damage never did fix it, they said they would trim the metal beams to size, they did 1 of the 2 that needed trimmed as to not block the glass block windows. The waterproofing wasn't anywhere close to properly installed. They used white duct tape and tacks with white tarp instead and thought that was acceptable. They also tried to get away with not installing covers over my basement windows on the outside, which were installed improperly after asking about the covers during 3 different contractor visits. When contact has been made with them they ignore our calls and won't return them. Then tell the loan company, Greensky, they spoke with us when our call logs prove otherwise. Greensky is also a scam. They are trying to make us pay for time and materials when the job wasn't done even close to done properly. They only did 2 things right out of our contract a sump pump install, 2 glass block windows, and cement work. Otherwise garbage. The last time works was done was around june/July time frame of 2024. Been unable to contact since.

John Dobrunick and Jabari were AMAZING!!! They did an incredible job on leveling my front sidewalk to ensure there were no trip hazards. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Service was requested and appointment made for a Monday, between 9 and 6. The company did not show up or even let me know that there was a change in schedule. I called several times and was told time and again that they would come but with delay. Then finally by 7:12 PM I was told that it was not going to happen. The following day possibly. I called the manager who said that customer satisfaction was very important after I let him know how disappointed I was with their lack of communication. Then finally I was told that today, the day after the first attempt, they would be here at 1:30 PM. Nobody here. I called again the tech; there was some delay. They would come today for sure. Still, called again around 3:40 PM and they would come. Nobody. Then I was promised 4:40; it's 5:45 PM now and I just got a hold of the tech who tells me that his supervisor told him they would come tomorrow. Nobody tells me this. I am left in the dark, no service. Customer service is non-existent. If you need a reliable service please shop around, avoid OBA.

I hired this company. The gentleman who came to my home was told I could only do this if they were able to schedule quickly. I was given a date in August. I checked 3 times including the morning before the work was scheduled and was assured they would be here. Then that same evening they called and told me I was rescheduled 3 weeks out. I tried to cancel and was told by customer service only the salesman could cancel. I tried to call the salesman and had to leave a message. He texted me and said he would cancel. I also sent a certified letter cancelling. Four days later I am still on the schedule and everyone keeps saying the salesman has to cancel. I called him again and left a message and he texted me back saying he would check on the cancellation. I will not get my $500.00 deposit back. And now I do not even know if someone is going to show up instead of cancelling.

They did a very good, quality repair to our foundation. It did take a few months to get service.
