contracted with Scott for water leak repairs... paid him a deposit but work never started. Cancelled the contract after more than a month of nothing but me calling for updates

In late March 2022, an electrician’s errant screw caused a slow plumbing leak that flooded my home’s first floor, necessitating a complete first-floor remodel. It was quite difficult to find someone willing to take on the job, much less a reputable contractor. Scott Bentz stepped in quickly. A competitor told me that it would take a least five months to even begin! My only quibble is that the remodel took longer than expected. Unfortunately, this is the norm during this time of labor shortages and supply-chain woes. To be fair, I also added a few items to the rebuild. Most of Scott’s subcontractors were competent and capable. Those who weren’t were replaced. Scott is well-organized, easy to reach, and professional. As costly as the remodel was, his firm’s adjusting was a great help when dealing with my insurer. I have already received my first disbursement. I highly recommend Bentz Remodeling!

Truly helpful individuals. I am from NC and looking to relocate to the area. I'm looking to purchase an unfinished home. I have been having the hardest time trying to find a local general contractor to answer questions, let alone go out and give me an estimate on completing my job. I called and spoke with Scott about my job, and he put me in contact with Tim Johnson, whom he works hand and hand with. Tim took his time to break down my entire project. He explained and answered all the questions I had. This reassured me that they are not only qualified to take on my project but also able to do it to FL standards. Scott and his crew were handed a huge project but because of their expertise in working with insurance companies and heavy damages, they did an incredible job on my quadruplex in Tallahassee.
