They came at schedule time and were polite. However, in answering all their questions I informed them that it had been about 12 yrs. since this particular chimney had been cleaned. They assured me that their vacuum would let no "particulants" into the room. After hooking it up, the guy left the room. I came in about 5-10 minutes later & the entire room was filled with ash dust. My furniture, shelves, rug, etc. were covered. They re-hooked up the vacuum but I had a mess to clean up. The female tech. told me "Well it has been 12 yrs." & I reminded her that she KNEW that & still told me there would be no problem. No offer to clean rug.

They did not remove any of the vents to clean. They just spray compressed air into the vents which in-turn blew dust and lint into the room where they were cleaning.

I was unable to be home, but my son was able to meet with the professionals from National Duct. To impress a 26 yo man who is representing his mother is a major accomplishment. They were early on the site, clean and very informative.
