Brian and the entire crew with Environmental Design are top notch, second to none. Years back, we hired Brian and Team to complete a major front-yard project. It went so well, we didn't think twice about hiring Environmental Design again. Our first and only call was to Brian! Brian, due to his background and expertise at what he does, makes the process "enjoyable" and "care-free". Brian starts a project when he says he will and completes the project right on time. His estimating, layout and project planning and execution skills are excellent. Brian is also a very, very, very nice person to work with at all times. Same with his Team. No surprise they've been together for a long time. While placing boulders, the team is expert and very precise. They performed that task for both the front and back yard projects. They care for your existing yard, by placing plywood down while entering and exiting the property. They clean the site daily, to ensure you're well taken care of at all times. Concrete injection leveling mudjackings FAQs
Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.
Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.
No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
