Shan-Gri-La Sod Farm is family-owned and operated that started in 1939 as a poultry farm in Willow Grove, PA by my Grandfather Dewey H. Bunch, Sr. In 1967 my father, Dewey H. Bunch, Jr., purchased our farm in beautiful Bucks County, PA and began growing sod. My brother, sisters, and I all worked side by side in the fields with my mother and father learning about the importance of family and hard work, as well as the commitment required to establish and maintain a successful small family business. In 1990 I began the landscape construction division to satisfy customers wanting to deal with one qualified contractor for all of their outdoor needs. We are E.P. Henry authorized paver installers and have had photos of our projects in their catalog each year since 2005. We are currently on E.P Henry's Website where one of our projects is featured as a virtual tour! In 2002, my wife Beth and I purchased the business. Together with our dedicated staff, we still maintain the strong family traditions established over 70 years ago while continuing to adapt to the needs and desires of our modern customers. We specialize in new construction implementation and renovation,repair and revitalization of existing previously landscape properties in need. Whether it is a new swimming pool and waterfall,patio with fire pit, outdoor grill station and bar, deck, walkway or retaining wall our skilled masonry and construction crews are up to the task. At our clients disposal is our eight acre nursery fully stocked with an array of plant selections to choose from. Stocked with perennials, shrubs and trees from 2" caliper to 8" caliper all available for viewing and selection by our exclusive clientele. We can also illuminate your outdoor spaces with the latest innovations in outdoor lighting whether it is lighting a path and patio, a specimen plant or a special water feature. We offer a free initial consultation with a designer who will come to your site to discuss your interests in detail and offer some general solutions and ideas. The next step would be the production of a preliminary design plan, done in scale, after a complete sight analysis is completed. The design would be accompanied by a preliminary proposal with cost analysis based on a projected budget given by homeowner. The cost of the design, if needed, would be determined by the size of the project and amount of time spent on the design. All design fees are rebated back to client when project is contracted for installation. .
