"He demolished the deck down to the joice boards. Then told me those needed replacing as well. He then demolished those and built the deck. When the project was completed he told me it was a few inches shorter than the previous deck, exposing pipes and rotten wood. He said the wood would need to dry out and would shrink a bit and I could stain it myself in a month or so. I didn t realize I had to stain it myself until the project was almost complete and I had already paid him. After two weeks I sent him pictures of large gaps in the floor boards. He told me he could fill them or replace the boards. I told him I d prefer if he replaced the boards then I never heard back from him. The gaps grew larger and I reached out again July 6 to ask when he would have time to fix the boards. He told me I would owe him $130 more and I told him I wasn t paying him anymore but he needed to make it right. I investigated further realizing he couldn t be trusted and found out there are several more with the deck. The space between the spindles isn t up to code and the first step onto the deck isn t up to code. He also didn t use flashing between the house and the ledger board. The top of the handrail wasn t properly installed and it s already bowing forward. In total four boards on the deck need to be replaced. The contractor came back made minimal changes, was very rude and argumentative, the deck is not up to code."

His 2 crews were very good and thorough - we had some structural work to do (replacing posts and doing new footings underneath the sunroom), and his first crew not only did a fantastic job but also offered extra advice on how to improve the overall structure; then the deck crew (cleaning/painting) also showed great flexibility as we switched colors during the work and had to add a few repairs. Both crews were super respectful, punctual, and cleaned up really well after the work. By the way Kyle not only orchestrates the team, he also rolled up his sleeves and worked on site, which was great as he has very detailed oriented and noticed an issue that if left undetected would affect the deck's appearance. 2 thumbs up and totally recommend Realtor's choice!"

He used red oak for the table top and finished it with three coats of low gloss polyurethane and a finish coat of BRI wax. The underside of the table and the reinforcing strips are even finished off. He finished this project in a little over three weeks. We couldn’t be happier! "
