"The work was performed between Sept 16-19 2019. Darryl and his crew arrived promptly at 8:30 on Sept 16 as planned. They pressure washed the entire house during the first day and began prepping the exterior wood for painting. They scraped, sanded and caulked the wood. Darryl pointed out several areas of rotted wood in addition to the ones I knew about; he repaired all of them under the original estimate. We chose the paint colors from the Sherwin Williams selection samples. Prep work continued throughout the second day while part of the crew began painting. Painting, prep work and wood repair continued through the third day. The fourth day was only for the final (second) coat in the areas still needing it. The crew was very polite and cleaned up at the end of everyday. They stored their ladders and equipment in a tidy area away from the house everyday. They arrived around 8:30 and worked until 4:00. The paint job looks great! I will definitely hire them again. Thanks, Cliff"

"I worked with Phoenix Flooring 3 times now. Once was 150 year old original floors that were covered in paint and glue and tar...a hot mess. They saved me so much money and brought the floors back to life. Then I did a new floor install with short boards...beautiful and maybe my favorite floor to date. Last job was merging a 75 year old floor with a new addition floor. You would never know! Fair prices and they never try to up sell me to other products."

"Paramount showed earlier than the designated time. Which was just fine with us. They steam cleaned the affected area and scotch guarded the area as well. I happened to notice on the side of their van that they cleaned tile grout. They were willing to do it while they were here on my polished limestone bathroom and shower stall. The guy was friendly and professional and efficient!"

"It went well overall! My brother got the remodeled bathroom that he wanted to have. Brandon was diligent in repairing all items that needed to be done before installing the ceramic tiles around the shower and the bathroom flooring. These repairs are only items that you can know once you start demolishing. Brandon did more I think than what he signed up for in doing the necessary repairs. He is good in what he does! Thanks, Brandon and crew!"

"I got several estimates for my project. Having done a few projects in the past, I believe it's important to get at least 3 estimates, and not base your decision on price alone. Having "strangers" in your home can be uncomfortable for many reasons to say the least. Matt's professionalism played a big part in my decision to go with him. Matt's estimate came in just above the median. After deciding to go with MK, he made the rest of the process go smoothly. Going to his office and actually seeing displays of tiles, colors and showers was very helpful. Matt made this part quite easy. The work was done by his workers, Dan & Garrett. The were very professional and I was as comfortable as I could be knowing they had a key to my home. They arrrived as promised and left my house clean every day. When an issue came up, as they always do, Matt made sure it was resolved. MK had a sub do the painting. Since this was not his work, I will not review that part. The project took just a little longer than he estimated, but that isn't uncommon with this type of job. I understand there are factors beyond a contractor's control, and Matt communicated very well with me. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the project and we have been enjoying our new bathrooms for several weeks now. Dan and Garrett paid attention to detail, and their final product showed it. Top notch work. Based on my experience with Matt and MK Remodeling, I would recommend them to friends and would hire them again."

"We had discount coupons initially that helped.  But they did such a fantastic job, we hired them again without a coupon.  When we did our kitchen, we decided to hire someone else...big mistake...some of those tiles are raised higher than others, the grout was too low.  My husband and I had to spend hours redoing thing just to bring it up to acceptable.  If I hire out any more flooring projects, it will only be to Cawood.  They are more than other companies...but you get what you pay for...and Cawood is a quality company...truly first rate!

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Amelia, OH

Sealing grout delivers excellent value by creating a moisture barrier that prevents water penetration, staining, and deterioration. Unsealed grout becomes a magnet for dirt and moisture, which can lead to discoloration, mold growth, and eventual breakdown of the grout structure. Regular sealing maintenance creates a protective barrier that not only preserves your tile's appearance but also simplifies routine cleaning and extends the overall lifespan of your installation.

When combining professional grout cleaning with sealing services, expect to pay between $3 and $4 per square foot for challenging surfaces like natural stone or heavily soiled areas. This comprehensive approach ensures your grout is thoroughly cleaned before sealer application, maximizing the effectiveness and longevity of the treatment. The cleaning process removes embedded dirt and contaminants that might otherwise become sealed into the grout, providing superior long-term results.

Certain grout formulations, particularly epoxy-based products, come with built-in moisture resistance that eliminates the need for additional sealing. These specialized grouts naturally repel water and resist staining without supplemental treatment.

Additionally, if your existing grout still demonstrates good water-beading properties from previous sealing, immediate reapplication may be unnecessary. Professional contractors evaluate your specific grout type, condition, and location before making recommendations about sealing requirements.

An average DIY grout sealing project for a 160-square-foot area requires about three hours, though this timeline can extend significantly for first-time applicators or challenging spaces. Professional contractors can complete the same area in two to five hours, depending on project complexity and required preparation. The experience gap often shows in application consistency and efficiency, with professionals delivering more uniform coverage in less time than most homeowners can achieve, especially on initial attempts.
