"2/3/2021 - Glad to have found Pro Sky Wow, what a great experience I just had with Pro Sky! Our heat pump went out during an impending snowstorm. Two companies on Thumbtack were quick to respond. Pro Sky got the nod because they could dispatch a technician immediately. It mattered when our house was getting so cold so fast. It also helped that Frank explained clearly his companyâ s approach in his initial response. As soon as I confirmed the appointment with Frank, I received a text giving an ETA for technician William to come by. Oh, another thing I like about Pro Sky is they use the Housecall Pro platform to send me appointment info, estimates, and receipts. All were super clear, and the platform was so convenient. Back to William, he arrived promptly wearing a mask and minding his distance. He listened patiently to the long history of issues weâ ve had with our Carrier Infinity thermostat before setting out to run the diagnostic tests on our heat pump. The tests confirmed the system was in good shape, the problem was with the thermostat. William took the time to explain our options for a thermostat replacement and addressed all of our questions and concerns without trying to sell us any particular product (or service for that matter). That is how you earn trust and respect from your potential (and repeated) customers. We would like to rewire our full system to use a third-party thermostat, and we will request William for the job. Thanks Pro Sky! 8/18/2021 - A happy customer is a repeat customer Last week was my fourth service call to Pro Sky: (1) system rewired & thermostat replacement, (2) water heater replacement, (3) HVAC Spring services, and (4) A/C start capacitor replacement. Our A/C stopped blowing cold air on a near-100-degree day last week. Who you gonna call? Of course, I called Pro Sky. Frank reassured me he would always have availability for a loyal customer. A different technician this time, the process was the same. I received a text with a link to Housecallproâ s job description, arrival window, and estimate ($45 for a diagnosis visit). Santo arrived on time, made a quick diagnose (bad capacitor), provided a reasonable price quote for a replacement which we agreed to. He replaced the dual capacitor, did a health check of our A/C system and was done in about 30 minutes. Super efficient! The service fee was waived in our final bill. Our A/C has been running fine ever since. Thanks again, Pro Sky!"

The AES team is committed to hiring and retaining some of the most qualified technicians in the area, with a minimum of 10 years experience. We make training a priority for our technicians and their helpers. We keep the vans stocked with many replacement parts to get you back up and running during our first visit. All of our employees are drug tested, background checked and registered with the state of VA

Installation was scheduled for Friday. I solicited other companies quotes using the estimate provided by the first company and all declined stating I needed to schedule an appointment for someone to come out to take measurements, etc. Our inside temperature was 98 degrees. Advanced Environment Solutions provided us an unbinding estimate of $9,600. a better warranty and immediately dispatched a technician to take measurements and install a portable AC unit until the new one could be installed. Our unit was installed Friday. What a bunch of professionals! The team arrived at 6:30 am and were done by 11:00 am. To our surprise, we received a fruit basket from Advanced Enviroment Solutions the following day thanking us for selecting them! Who does is anymore? Hey competitors... Central a/c service or repairs FAQs
In most cases, you’ll never need a recharge unless the system develops a leak. If that happens, expect to top it off every two to three years—or sooner—until the leak is repaired. Keeping refrigerant at the right level lets your AC run efficiently and prevents extra wear on the compressor.
Plan on about 5 to 10 minutes per pound of refrigerant. Since each ton of cooling needs 2 to 4 pounds, a typical three-ton unit requires 6 to 12 pounds and roughly 30 minutes to 2 hours of work. Your tech will confirm the exact time once they know the size of your system and the amount of Freon it lost.
Skip the DIY. The EPA limits refrigerant sales and handling to certified technicians, and violators can face fines of up to $10,000. A licensed pro has the tools to find leaks, make repairs, and recharge the system safely. Hiring one keeps you on the right side of the law and protects your AC from costly mistakes.
Watch for ice on the evaporator coil, water pooling around the unit, frequent hissing, higher power bills, longer cooling cycles, or warm air from the vents. Spotting these red flags early lets you call a pro before efficiency drops and repair costs climb.
Coolant can escape when components crack or corrode, connectors loosen, factory defects slip through, or installation work leaves joints vulnerable.
