"I needed my downstairs bathroom redone. Had an old tub and wanted a new design with a walk-in shower. I am so happy I went with them because everything from start to finish was seamless. Very professional and the product quality along with the pricing was great."

"Tyler did an excellent job on replacing the floor boards and railings on my 10 x 20 deck with maintenance free boards and aluminum railings. I am very pleased with how it looks. The board going down the middle of the deck adds a lot. Tyler did the work as if it was his deck he was working on, and that means everything to me. I will tell everyone that I talk about my deck to that he did an awesome job. He gets 10 out of 10 stars. Thank you again, Tyler. I appreciate you."

"Our kitchen remodel was a complete gut. Jim, owner, was right on top of each phase and answered any calls or emails promptly. We had a lot of ideas and his crew put it all together for our dream kitchen. This project went so smoothly and the quality is perfection! They were a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend Emerald Remodeling."

"Comfort Homes is by far the biggest bang for your buck. Their pricing is fair, communication with clients is unsurpassed and their experience, quality materials, craftsmanship, problem solving and attention to detail is superior. We hired Comfort Homes to tear down our old rotting deck, inspect and repaired the damage to our home due to the old deckâ s 1985 installation without flashing, and construct a new larger and more complex deck. Our Comfort Homes deck is a masterpiece. It spans two sides of our home with uniquely designed and constructed privacy gates. The Comfort Home crew was a delight to work with. They arrived each day on time and worked hard throughout the sweltering heat this summer. At the end of each day, they cleaned up, then let me know when they were leaving and what task would be accomplished next. Communication was key. I was kept informed at every level; who and when subcontractors were coming to my home, their assigned tasks, when supplies would be delivered and product delays. On the rare days they did not come to work on the deck, I was always informed in advance and why. Storms and product availability impacted the work schedule. As much as Comfort Homes has earned a stellar review for the work they did on our deck, I am hesitant to post the company review for fear they may become even more in demand and too busy to squeeze us in for future projects."

"They did a great job for me. I had a Menards single car, garage built, and they did everything for me that I had asked and the quality workmanship was superb."

"Rick and his team were wonderful to work with. They helped us with design, worked with our budget, and were always timely. They pay attention to detail, and care about quality. This was a big project for our family. Rick and his team completed a kitchen remodel, new siding, all new flooring on main level of home, new ceiling finish, electrical and plumbing. Rick and his team became part of family during this 5 week project and were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them for any remodeling or siding project. There were no surprises and they offered great communication during the project. I would use them again in a heartbeat. We couldn't be happier with the new kitchen and siding."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
