"One 9/24/17 I had them install outdoor lighting in a 30' x 30' fenced-in dog exercise area. They ran conduit for the wiring and installed the flood-light fixtures I wanted, along with installing 2 more coach lights on the house and outdoor switches to control everything. Scott Nelson was terrific to work with. He was prompt in getting back to my initial query, came out very soon to discuss the project and give me a detailed proposal. We scheduled the project for 2 months later to take advantage of my slow period. Scott is an excellent communicator and answered all my emails and follow-ups promptly. Two of his guys, Ben & Eric, came out to do the work. Scott met with them at my house that morning to be sure they understood the job and to discuss some minor changes I wanted. They showed up when they said they would and everything about the work day proved them to be very professional, skilled, friendly, and easy to work with. They also did a great job cleaning up after the project. -- other than the new lights, you'd never have known they'd set foot on the place. The job they did for me was exceptionally well done. When I discovered one of the lengths of conduit had a small split in the seam due to a manufacturing defect, I contacted them. The split was letting rain water into the conduit. I so appreciate that they were willing to come out and fix the problem right away, no charge. I am very grateful that they stood behind their work and were so responsive. These days we hear too many complaints about things and when something goes right, no one says a word. Copper is used in lightning rods because it's an excellent conductor of electricity. When lightning strikes the rod, the copper safely channels the electrical current through cables into a grounding system buried in the earth, effectively protecting your home from damage.
The number of lightning rods your home needs depends on its size and the type of protection system you choose. For example, a 3,000-square-foot home requires six to eight copper or aluminum lightning rods to ensure full coverage. Alternatively, a single Early Streamer Emission (ESE) air terminal system can protect the entire home. It's best to consult a UL-certified professional to determine the exact number of rods needed for optimal protection.
