"After my dad passed away it was time for us to sell his house which is 90 mintues away. It required a lot of work to prepare it to sell. We found Luis on Home Advisor. During our first meeting he asked "what my intentions were for the house". I said "sell and sell it fast". The results of his hard work and keen eye turned out a beautiful house which is move in ready. Luis and his team did an amazing job and did it within the set budget and timeline. Luis and his team surpassed the scope we initially discussed and went way beyond what we expected. His team is friendly, trustworthy, reliable and easy to work with. His desire to present a beautiful, complete product is evident in the way he communicates with his clients. The entire house was redone: Asbestic popcorn removed from the ceiling, cleaned all walls and vents as well as repaired drywall before painting all rooms, replaced bathroom counter tops, faucets, fixtures, sinks, and plumbing, refinished and painted kitchen cupboards, installed granite countertops, updated and installed kitchen lighting to recessed lighting, installed new lighting fixtures throughout the house, painted the front and back doors, replaced and painted baseboards. He did a fantastic job, we are very grateful for his commitment to a job well done. We appreciate his time and what he accomplished."

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
