"Gary called me within minutes of posting project on site. Met with me the next day (end of June 2023) to go over project. Told me his per square foot rate, which I agreed to. Bragged about how sourced his stone locally and also told me that the stone was included in the quote. Gary said he was 3 weeks out. I agreed to everything. Said he would get me samples the following. Did not hear from him the following week. Called him. He seemed aggravated that I was calling him after he did not respond to my text or phone calls. Said he would call me the next day to tell me when he would show up to do job. Never called and did no hear from him again. Strung me along for a month and then ghosted me. Very unprofessional, rude and would not use him if he was the last mason on earth."

"The initial job was to install soffit under the large roof overhang. The roofing is angled. Where the angle edges met there was a 1" gap. The gap leads directly into the attic allowing cold air, insects and small animals in. That was insulated before the soffit installed and sealed over the gap. I had another contractor do my siding and their work was amateurish and poorly done in a number of places. TDL cleaned up the poor workmanship and replaced sections of the gutters damaged by the previous contractor. TDL's repairs were done well and improved the look of the siding errors. Very pleasant to work with. Explained all the changes they were going to make verifying we were completely on the same page. Suggested alterations which turned out great. Paid attention to the details which improved the look and functionality."

Brick or stone tuck pointings FAQs
Cracks in brick mortar are expected after 20 to 30 years. Mortar doesn’t last nearly as long as brick, which can last hundreds of years with proper upkeep. For safety and the most cost-efficient solution, have a professional mason inspect cracks in brickwork. Most of the time, it’s cheaper to fix it early than wait until the problem gets worse.
Whether you need to clean bricks before repairing them depends on the problem. If they're dirty or growing moss and lichen and you're doing a simple repair job like repointing the mortar, cleaning the bricks is probably a good idea before attempting repair. However, if you remove the bricks to replace them with new ones, there's little point in cleaning the old ones.
You can prevent bricks from damage by properly grading your property and ensuring it slopes away from your house, regularly cleaning your gutters, and ensuring trees aren't growing too close to the walls and putting pressure on them with their roots. Also, regularly check the pipework that is affixed to the brick for leaks. Every decade or two, when the mortar is crumbling, get it repointed or tuckpointed to prevent further damage.
