It was 1979 and a smart business idea called cabinet refacing had captured Jost Flecks imagination. Joe, as he preferred to be called, recognized it as a smart way for homeowners to have a new kitchen that might otherwise have been beyond their budget. Instead of tearing out the whole kitchen, sturdy cabinets could be covered. He realized, though that consumers might worry that was only a temporary solution, so he devised a method for cabinet refacing that was so reliable and permanent he backed it with a Lifetime of Home Ownership Warranty.
"We are been working for the last 5 years in remodeling our house little by little, so far , this was the worse experience of our lives, nothing was done as we talk to the sales person, took more then twice of the amount of time to finish, because was a one man show, he and he alone did everything, so took forever to finish. We didn?t have a sink for over a month. Plumber was a ?fill the blank?so bad , we need to pay for our own plumbing. I am sure others have very good experience, ours was hell. Worse experience ever in any project of our house, I regret and i will hate my kitchen, If i ever get enough money, i will re do it in a hard bit. "He was terminated by my lawyer and was reported to the consumer protection department. He installed recessed lights in the kitchen and living room. None of them work. It cannot be turned off in the living room and it doesn't work at all in the kitchen. In addition to that, all electric outlets lost power in the kitchen. He was dragging a 2 weeks project into 4 weeks. He disappeared after saying he didn't know how to fix it. Also all bathroom and kitchen plumbing works wrong. Leaking and improperly connected. He always sends workers from the street. Very rarely show up. Coming very late and disappearing . He got money (100% painting, 50% kitchen, 50% flooring), but he asked $700 more for the incomplete flooring work. He called police to have his few items left because he never showed up again. He got his belongings under the police observation. His cabinet installation, the kitchen cabinet store manager was laughing because he installed the top first which had a 3 inches gap between the ceiling and the cabinet. The store manager said that he had never seen anything like this before. I had to hire the electrical company, the plumber and handyman to fix all of his work. Paid $3,800 to them."

"Unprofessional. A complete and total disappointment. Mike was supposed to stain and match my cabinet finish and the color was way off, and he kept trying to convince me that the colors matched. Mike didn't arrive prepared with any tools or material, not even a screwdriver! Mike argued with his assistant the whole time. Mike and assistant went on a 3 hour lunch break, and ended up working on my cabinets until 9am, and didn't finish!! Mike returned alone the following day, I shared that I was unhappy with the quality of the work, he hung my cabinets, and did not properly secure then to the beams, and I could not put anything in the cabinets. I shared with him that the project was not satisfactory and he stated "when women start to complain, I have to leave, I can't listen to women complain". I had to pay another contractor to come in an take down the cabinets and re-install them securely. See the picture posted. The 2 long middle wall cabinets are lighter than the rest of the cabinets, they stand out. Don't hire this person, it's not worth it."
