Additional contact name - Robert Macca. Additional email - rmacca@maccaplumbing.com.

"We had a leak behind the sink in the master bathroom. The leak was traveling downstairs and into the ceiling and walls of bedroom below the bathroom. We did not know where the leak was coming from when we called the plumber, and assumed it was coming from within the walls in the downstairs bedroom. The plumber was very nice and professional, but started off by cutting a large hole in the downstairs bedroom to find the leak, and it obviously was not there. He then moved to the upstairs bathroom, found it and fixed it. The issue is, as a plumber he should have known to start upstairs in the bathroom to look for it. Now I need part of my ceiling replaced and it all could have been avoided."

Here to quickly qualify homes based on sun hours and roof space for solar and schedule assessments so you can see if solar is an option for your home. Working with me as a captain for the largest installer of residential solar comes with more than experienced and a name. You also get the benefits of working with and receiving benefits from the only company in both Costco and Home Depot throughout the country, with the huge level of trust that comes with working directly with them and inside their stores. We are in 24 states across the U.S., solar costs you no money up front anymore to get and install panels, we are capable of giving money towards things like roofs and tree removal thanks to an incredible amount of state and government subsidies, as well as our own incentives. Do you still have to pay for electricity even though you don't pay for the panels? Yes of course. We always will. With solar, you just replace your utility company with solar, but at a much cheaper rate. Why? Because the energy is on your roof, no lines to send electricity through, so it is one simple charge guaranteed less than your utility company with none of the commom extra fees you see like delivery, transmission, etc., and the sun cannot be taxed so your rate will never change (something the utility companies will never allow). They always have to increase year over year as they have to rely on supply and demand, solar does not. If the sun doesn't come out, we have bigger problems! I'm sure you have many more questions so please reach out so I can help you out. You only need to be a homeowner with decent sun on your roof, with an electric bill of at least around $100 on average.

"We are very happy with the job. We checked a lot of companies and Sunlight had the best price and was very responsive and knowledgeable. We had 28 panels @ 380 watts each = 10,640 watts. Cost per watt was $2.70 (Jan 2021 contract date), or $1.75 net of Fed tax credit and State rebate. System was rated at 8,862 kwh/year but actually produced 9,550 kwh in the first year. We had no generation charges for 7 out of the 12 months. Highly recommended!"

FAQs for solar panel installation projects in Bolton, CT

Annual inspections are recommended for residential solar systems, though specific needs vary based on several factors. Newer installations in moderate climates require less frequent professional evaluation, while systems over a decade old or those in harsh environments benefit from more regular attention. Always arrange an inspection following severe weather events that might have damaged components or affected system performance.

Pre-inspection cleaning isn't necessary, as evaluating the current condition of your panels is part of the assessment process. Professional inspectors can effectively examine systems regardless of cleanliness level, as accumulation patterns often provide valuable diagnostic information. However, if panels are completely obscured by heavy debris, bird droppings, or other materials that prevent visual examination of the surface, a basic rinse might be helpful before the scheduled inspection.

A comprehensive solar inspection examines all system components, including panels, wiring, mounting hardware, and inverters. Technicians check for physical damage like cracks or delamination, evaluate electrical connections for corrosion or looseness, and assess overall system performance against expected output levels. The inspection may also verify that safety systems are functioning correctly and that the installation complies with applicable codes and standards.

While traditional manual inspections are effective for most residential systems, specialized inspection methods may provide advantages for certain installations. Factors to consider include system size, roof complexity, accessibility challenges, and safety considerations. For multi-story homes or commercial installations where roof access is difficult or potentially hazardous, alternative inspection approaches offer improved documentation and reduced risk, though potentially at a higher cost.
