I am a single-individual small business. I have over 7 years of experience in the Construction Industry with an Associate degree in Construction Technology. I'm looking to provide service to families with beautiful ideas for their homes in Tampa and surrounding areas. Throughout the years, I have used my skills to help friends and families with many home projects. Those include home repairs, backyard projects, and new residential and commercial construction work. Ever since I can remember, attention to detail, communication, respect, and most impartially hard work ethic have been the skills used to help me get to the next levels in my career. "12/9/24: Due to water damage from Hurricane Milton, the engineered wood flooring in our LR was discolored on the ends nearest the front door and had to be replaced. We had 4 blanks left over from the original flooring installation years ago, but we could not find the same product with the same click and lock system and the same exact width. Libien was able to cut off the bad parts of the flooring planks and reuse the good parts; otherwise, we would have had to redo the entire floor with a new product at some cost. The work took some time but went very well; Libien did an excellent job. When he was done, the finished floor looked almost like the original. The door sill took some drilling in the concrete stoop, but he was able to secure it perfectly. The safety bar in the shower looks great. He was very skilled, courteous, professional, and explained the whole process in advance."

"My husband and I chose Mr. Build to install a new front door for our home. The salesman was great, we gave our deposit, they took the final measurements and we waited for the door to be installed. We were told the door would need to be modified to fit our home by the manufacturer and it could take a little longer, which was fine. We were surprised when it arrived early for installation and were happy to schedule. Unfortunately, the door had not been modified at the manufacturer and the installer did the modifications on-site, including cutting our foundation and “shaving” the top of the door which left it uneven. He also cut into our new flooring and left a large gap between the threshold and floor which he tried to fill with silicone. We had them return to inspect the work and had to reschedule someone to now place a new threshold transition and also attempt to fix the window moldings. A couple weeks go by and then we start to see gaps of light between the side of the door and the frame from the inside. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix the issue and being told it was a tech's last day and he “tried to make it work” we still have the same problems. I've asked what our options were since they aren’t fixing the problems and claim they will “make it right” but the issues are never fixed. I was told by Melanie we would not receive any amount of a refund and they will not pay for another door. Needless to say, after months of dealing with this we are extremely frustrated, beyond tired of the excuses, poor workmanship, and lack of accountability. To spend $3000 to have damage done to our foundation, new flooring, and having light, heat, and outside air coming through the door frame is ridiculous in Florida. We were better off with our previous $200 door from Home Depot."

Pocket doors are more expensive than standard pre-hung doors. While a standard interior door installation costs around $150 to $200, installing a pocket door can run from $1,000 to $3,500, especially on existing walls. You can use some standard doors as pocket doors, but they must fit the required dimensions. The door has to slide smoothly into the wall cavity, so it must be the right size and thickness. Also, any existing hardware holes need to be adjusted or covered up to work correctly, increasing labor costs.
For a pocket door, you need enough wall space for the door to slide into. A standard 32-inch-wide door requires about 66 inches of wall space in total—including the doorway and the pocket. The wall you install it in should be at least four inches deep to fit the door's thickness.
Installing a pocket door usually takes about six to 12 hours. If your project requires extra work like wall modifications or electrical adjustments, it might take a couple of days. The exact time depends on your home's layout, the type of door you’re installing, and the complexity of the project.
Removing a pocket door involves more than just taking down the door. You'll likely need to open up the wall to access the door mechanism, adjust any wiring or plumbing inside, and then rebuild the wall afterward. Costs can range from $1,000 to $3,200, depending on how much work is needed.
