"We had water damage and so had to replace certain parts of the bathroom, and then decided while we are at it to do a full modernization. Paul alerted us to the fact that some of this cost would be reimbursable by our insurance carrier - and it was - resulting in several thousand dollars of savings that we otherwise would not have. We have an old house (1860) and Paul was interested in the history of the place and knowledgeable about the old construction methods. In these Covid times, everything took longer - material availability and such - but Paul was good about letting us know what was going on, and very responsive any time we had a question. We are very pleased with the result."

"Jeremy was outstanding. He arrived early to get started and stopped each time he finished an area to give feedback and show what he saw in detail. At the end, he summarized everything and gave us plenty of time to take measurements and pick his brain. He went above and beyond. Super relatable yet informative. Thorough and honest, he made the inspection one of the few "painless" portions we have encountered in the home buying experience. With the report, which was extremely detailed yet written so a layman can follow, they included vendors who could assist with issues, which was clutch as we knew none in the area. I will happily go out of my way to recommend Liberty going forward. Very satisfied!"

You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
