"We needed a minor roof repair- flashing needed to be nailed down and I spent all day yesterday calling around and begging handymen and roofing contractors to come over and take a look, no luck at all. Either all were booked out until next Spring or the job was not worth their time and effort to come out. I called Buck with Eagle Siding headquartered in Burnsville and he offered to come out within the hour and take care of the repair. WOW, just wow...he came out, nailed the sucker down and made additional minor repairs as well. His charge was very fair for a simple job, but I would not hesitate to refer them or call them back if we had siding or roofing issues in the future. "Chase from Excel Renovation was great to work with regarding our residential garage roof leak. He was very personable and there was excellent/ professional communication in talking through the potential issue and then scheduling a time to meet. Chase ended up starting with a simpler repair approach first, re-fastening and re-sealing a roof flashing, which we agreed was the right thing to do for our type of roof leak (very small leak) and for this cold time of year (late Nov). He was very honest in what he thought was the likely issue and digging deeper right away in our case, instead of just resealing and testing first, may cause more harm than good. He would not take any money for the repair…I tried though. :-) He said to keep an eye on it during the upcoming rain and snow melt(s) and he could always dig deeper if needed in the spring, removing interior sheetrock and then applying water with a hose over suspected area on the roof. "Kaufman did a great job replacing my old shingled roof and a flat rubber roof that was over 30 years old. Possible costs were clearly detailed in my estimate. I was notified by email when crews were coming, and crews worked hard and quickly. Clean-up was good too. When I was picking shingles my instinct was to stick with the tried and true dark gray but the salesman urged me to check another option that was a little jazzier, if such a thing is possible with shingles. I chose those and I have to say it has enhanced the appearance of the house. So I appreciate being pushed a little out of my comfort zone! Gutters came a month after the roof was done but this is a busy summer and the job was not an emergency. When the crew came, they were pleasant and worked fast. Highly recommended!"
