He immediately spent some time determining the source of the odor (most likely a dead rodent in the wall of a storage closet) in my house. He recommended a good exterminator to open walls and remove the offending rodent but also advised how I could do it myself easily (and much cheaper). "Over it was a good job and the price was reasonable. Few concerns: the first technician thought that it might be a problem resulting from the thermostat wire going bad causing the fan coil unit to not get the correct voltage. The second technician took a little more time and checked the connections and solved the issue pretty quickly saving me from a pretty costly repair. My other concern was the first technician said he could do the inside coil cleaning as part of the tune up. The technician never mentioned it would be an additional $220.00. The technician just sprayed the coil cleaning foam but never removed the front panel to brush the coils as recommended. since he did not remove the panel not sure how he checked visually for refrigerant leaks. He also checked on the form that basic air duct cleaning was performed which must be a mistake because he never looked at the main return."
