"We hired Nick to replace a 10-year old bathroom exhaust fan and light that was staring to fail. It was in a challenging location (no attic access, and we didnâ  t want to damage the ceiling above our shower), and he was able to complete the work perfectly. Well worth every penny. He also kept us aware of how work was progressing and did a great job of cleanup afterwards. Heâ  s definitely on our list of electricians to hire for future work."

"Eric is very good in his job. Professional, efficient and very easy going and honest. My project was not a small task: 28 new recessed lights, 3 light fixtures, bath fan, patio lights and sockets and 15 new outlets and all wiring. I got the price from other 3 electricians, and it turned out that his price was the best. If you need and electrician who does his job properly and finishes in timely manner, just call him. No headache or worries. I would definitely hire him again. Highly recommended."

"Buck and Wayne installed a mini split heating and cooling system in an attic bedroom/bath. The space was very tight and it took a lot of expertise and creativity on their part to hide all the piping. The outside unit mounted on the back of the house above a porch is a lot more visible than I thought it would be but they did everything they could to make it less intrusive. They arrived before 8 am and had to work outside in some bitter temperatures to install the outdoor unit. At the end of the day, Buck and Wayne took time to made sure that I knew how to operate the unit and that I could call if I had questions. I did a walk-through after they left and the rooms including the attic storage space were spotless. I would highly recommend them for any heating and cooling work you are considering."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesChelsea Electricians are rated 4.8 out of 5 based on 209 reviews of 209 pros.
