"We recently added a full master suite and a new retaining wall at ground level of our existing home. We interviewed several contractors and decided on Shenon Construction to build our addition. Tom Shenon is the principal owner and licensed general contractor of Shenon Construction. The estimated costs were reasonable and within our budget, and Tom worked with us to keep our costs down without sacrificing quality. More importantly, we felt a connection to Tom Shenon, as he is sincere and honest, but knowledgeable and professional in his approach to our needs. The work is now complete, and we are entirely pleased with the outcome of our new addition. Needless to say, the process of adding nearly 400 square feet to a structure, especially in Southern California, is a very complicated and detailed endeavor. There are many strict building and environmental regulations and permitting requirements set forth by numerous governmental entities, as well as homeowners association requirements that we had to navigate. The difficulty of getting through architectural planning, engineering, and city permitting was compounded during the COVID pandemic, but Tom and his design/architectural/engineering team did an excellent job to design our project and guide us through the processes and procedures necessary to complete the process timely and thoroughly. He is a competent contractor and knowledgeable in his field. He allowed us to select and purchase all owner-supplied fixtures and materials ourselves, or use his design and supplier team to obtain required items at the best prices. We used a mixture of contractor-recommended suppliers as well as obtaining our own selection of items based on our personal preferences. All of the subcontractors, project supervisors, and trade craftsmen were superb. They were courteous and respectful of our property, trustworthy, and extremely skillful in their trades. The craftmanship is amazing and resulted in a beautiful, comfortable addition. All the suppliers and subcontractors used by Shenon Construction went above and beyond to help us obtain needed items at reasonable prices in a timely manner. Based on the results of our project, we feel we definitely made the correct choice in Shenon Construction to complete our addition, and we consider Tom and all the craftsmen involved in our project to be long-term friends. Hand tools are periodically dipped in rubbing alcohol to further help destroy germs. These may seem like extreme measures, but we take your health and the health of all our employees seriously. Thank you for your continued business. We are not the typical plumbers, our guys are neat and clean, well groomed, respectful of you and your property. "A friend referred me to David at Horizon in 2017 when a bathroom renovation/upgrade was required after car accident. His team miraculously converted a 1965 bathroom into a show room design with a beautiful walk-in shower. It’s a challenge with a one-bathroom condo but David & his team made it possible for me to stay in my home the entire time. He was always available by phone/text for even the smallest concern. I reached out to David again this year for repairs due to root damage from common area trees. Most of the damage was at the front of my house but I did ask David to remove the popcorn ceiling in my living/dining rooms where there was a crack in the middle of the condo. To match my new smooth ceiling, the living/dining rooms were painted to give a complete clean look. I purchased my front door which Horizon installed, and David selected the beautiful sliding glass/screen door. I was pleasantly surprised with the new technology and how easily they glide open. The team also replaced the front entry tile which I had previously purchased. Outside, a partial replacement of a fence, demo of old cracked patio, and new cement patio installed. I was told a brush technique was used so I wouldn’t slip if the patio was wet. What great enhancement! They even patched the old stucco and painted. It felt like a new home. Thanks to David and his team for their excellent work! You weren’t just completing a job; you were making a difference in my day-to-day life."
