"Logan did an awesome job installing new outlets for me, and did an amazingly thorough job of not only the new work, but cleaning up the space exactly as it was when he was finished. He was very quick to set up my appointment after the initial estimation, and I’d gladly work with Ward’s Services again."

"This company did a new water heater install for me today, arrived promptly and did first rate work. They are very courteous and professional. Their pricing was upfront and very competitive with other companies. They took the time to help me make the right choice of products and explain the operations of my new heater and filter. They also fixed an electrical connection issue in the breaker box for the water heater. They are returning tomorrow to address an additional plumbing concern. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work performed byJeremy and Jason, this is a first rate outfit."

"James did an amazing job on our kitchen and bathroom remodel as well as some other handyman jobs weâ ve needed help on. He is responsive and sets reasonable expectations as far as timing and availability of materials. He was a good manager of the subcontractors as well when that was needed. He and his team were very respectful of the fact that we were living through the renovation and tried not to spread the renovation mess to other spaces and was always good to make sure our pets were out of any danger. The quality of work was excellent on all of the projects and weâ ve gotten tons of compliments. The tile work especially was amazing! I would recommend James to any of my friends and weâ ll use him again for future remodels."

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
