"Was a very good job from beginning to end.  We got three estimates from contractors on Angies List.  Springfield Roofing was the quickest to respond and had the best estimate..  They were very upfront about the incessant rain and what it does to schedules.  Once the material was delivered the crew immediately started to work. Hard working crew. Always left the property cleaned up.  At the end there was a quality control inspector who came out and went over the roof. Then there was payment.  I highly recommend.

"After years of unsuccessfully addressing water damage around windows in an upstairs room by focusing on the window frames and the brickwork around the windows, I asked W. E. Griffin Roofing (whom I had used previously for relatively minor roofing repairs) to evaluate whether the roof was a factor. Matt Hoffman determined that significant work had to be done including substantially rebuilding two dormers, removing and replacing valleys and flashing, and replacing the roof on the dormers. As in the case of previous and subsequent jobs, Griffin's work crew was very professional and conscientious at all times. They cleared all rubble and tools from the site every day, and the job was started and completed on schedule. In the 4 years since this work was done and the interior water damage repaired, there has been no further sign of water damage in that room. I completely trust the advice I have received from Matt Hoffman over the past 7 years since I first used W. E. Griffin. In addition to the work described above as well as routine preventive maintenance, I have also engaged the company to repair gutters, replace incorrectly installed snow guards, replace failed chimney flashing, fabricate and install catch boxes to prevent leaf blockage of downspouts, as well as routine preventive maintenance. "Two weeks after moving into a new home, we discovered, after a heavy rain, that we had a leak in an older flat roof over a bedroom. Tom was extremely responsive and helpful, and even though they don't do roofing repairs (only full replacements), Tom sent his foreman over to patch our roof as an emergency short-term fix while we looked into options for having the old roof replaced with a TPC membrane. There have been heavy rains in the meantime, and the temporary patch has saved us from taking on more water and causing further damage to drywall and floors. The guttering and fascia repair will be done soon. Emily Rinaldo, the HCR marketing rep., gave a thorough and lengthy (3 hours) presentation on every aspect of the roof. She is personable, professional, and knowledgeable. The well-manned roofing team arrived on the day stated and completed most of the roofing in one day. The roofers had been trained by HCR and were not day-laborers or sub-contractors. They returned early the next morning and completed their work in a couple hours. No unpleasant surprises here! "Everyone I worked with was prompt and professional. The sales pitch was a bit long winded, I could have gone without all the company accolades, but they did explain a few things I was not aware of with my existing roof. They did a follow up visit to make sure the estimate provided by the salesman was correct which was nice... no unexpected charges last minute. Materials were delivered the day before and the installers started right on time the following morning. Everyone was polite and courteous. The Project manager stopped in to make sure everything was being done to satisfaction and they even hauled away some old shingles from the previous owners. So far, everything looks really great.
