"I own a rowhouse in DC, and the roof finally failed in too many places to patch. Darren gave me a reasonable estimate, helped me research the various materials, and his crew did a great job. Everything went up in one day."

"It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. They did a good job and we are happy with the asphalt sealant they did. They were very professional and helpful. They were very respective and easy to talk to. I had a good time working with them. We did spend a little more because they had a square foot limitation and we were over it. They were upfront about it."

"I had a leak in my roof that was funneling into an inner porch roof.  I put a tarp over the leak area to prevent it from reoccurring and then contacted a well-reviewed roofing company.  They gave a high figure to do the roof and would provide a 15 year warranty.  This was too high, so I tried unsuccessfully to fix it myself.  I then contacted Home Pro on one of their specials but decided to cancel when I reread the special and decided it didn't promise very much in the way of a leak repair, more of an inspection.  However, Home Pro said that they'd come out and give an estimate for a repair so I said okay.
Clarence Dove came by at the appointed time and gave an estimate for doing the same work as the high estimate, but for the excellent price of $500.  The only difference was the two year warranty of Home Pro.  I signed on the spot and they contacted me a day or two later to schedule about two weeks out.
The day arrived and it was pouring out, so they rescheduled for another two weeks out.  That day came and two roofers, one was Eddie, arrived about 10am to begin work.  I was out when they arrived.  They came to work and efficiently stripped off the old asphalt shingles, found no issues with the plywood roof and continued on with their punchlist of items.  They finished, cleaned up and left without saying anything, but I'd say they worked about 5-6 hours.
The roof looks great, the caulking around the two windows looks great and they invoiced me and accepted credit card payment.  I am very pleased with the job and the value of the job.

"The initial installation went well - one issue was identified which needed correction and responsiveness was slower than what I was comfortable with (hence the "B"). But the team showed up, corrected the issue, were very professional and thorough in their tasks and did a very nice job on a follow-up sealing of the new driveway."

FAQs for asphalt paving repair or patch projects in Clinton, MD

With routine maintenance, a new residential asphalt driveway can last 15 to 20 years. In regions with heavy rain or freeze-thaw cycles, plan on extra maintenance to hit the upper end of that range. Concrete surfaces last even longer, from 20 to 25 years. Regular sealing and quick crack repairs go a long way toward preserving both materials.

You can pour new concrete over an existing driveway as long as the base slab is solid. Pros often place a three- to four-inch overlay to create a strong bond. If the old concrete is cracked or spalling badly, it’s wiser to remove it and start fresh to ensure durability.

Keep the surface in top shape by sealing it on schedule and tackling damage right away. Roll on a quality seal coat every three years for asphalt, and reseal concrete as needed while patching any flaws you spot. Staying ahead of small issues prevents bigger, pricier repairs and keeps your driveway looking sharp.
