"New Generation Painting gifted us with one of the best experiences weâ ve ever had with a contractor! Our home was in serious need of exterior painting and extensive dry rot repair. We interviewed several potential contractors, but when we met Ivan, we knew weâ d found our person. He is a hands-on business owner who books limited jobs so quality stays high. He was on site every day. His team got mad props and respect from our neighbors, who were amazed at their skill, precision, and professionalism. In fact, several neighbors wanted their contact information after seeing their work! They completed the job beautifully, on time, and in budget, Their communication was excellent. We honestly would not consider hiring anyone else for future jobs- these guys are seriously the best!! Thank you Ivan, Sarai and New Generation Painting!"

"I cannot say enough good things about Jacob. He does excellent work, paying attention to every detail, and his pricing is extremely reasonable, especially for the quality of work he does. He also did not try to nickel and dime us once the project started and stayed with the original estimate even though he ended up having to do a fair bit of extra work due to things that could not have been anticipated before the work started. Jacob re-tiled our master bathroom and did a fantastic job. Not one detail escaped his attention -- making sure there were as few seams and cuts as possible in the tough spots around the window and niche, ensuring the tile layouts were symmetric, placing the most appealing grains. (We had marble-like tiles) at eye-level and putting the less nice grains in places where they were less noticeable, etc. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about his craft and did exceptionally good work, but he was also easy to work with, very courteous, and professional. Jacob also always provided great recommendations when there were design options but was never pushy about doing it his way if we wanted a different design. Jacob does not rush through the job. He takes the time it takes to do it right. If you have that time and would like someone who will treat your tile work as if it were his own home, do yourself a favor and give Jacob a call."

"Had him rebuild an old patio cover in my yard. All we kept were the posts and two beams. Replaced all else. Came out very nice. Couple months later had him do some porch railing and window sill repairs on a rental house my mother owns. Nice work, very fair price. Will definitely use him again."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
Cupertino Addition & Remodeling Contractors are rated 4.8 out of 5 based on 384 reviews of 384 pros.
