We have an A rating on Angie’s List and are able to provide references for both commercial and residential projects. When hurricane Ike hit in 2008, some people I had met and had became friends with received serious damage to their home. I had previously done work for them with another company. My friends encouraged me to start my own business so that I could personally do the work for them. It was a big step, but with their support and the support of my family it seemed like the thing to do. It was a tough start but after 14 years we are still at it, and business gets better every year. We are general contractors now and do full kitchen and bath remodels as well as hardwood and tile flooring, additions, flood remediation, drywall repair, fencing and everything in between. "On Tuesday, April 16th he tore out the tile and my double sink. He collected from me $1750 and left at about noon saying he would return. He did not return until Friday afternoon. He hastily installed the countertop and said he was finished. In addition to having poorly installing the countertop, the sink was not one made to be used in a kitchen and had only one hole in the top for the faucets. I offered to pay for a decent sink although he was to replace the one I had He said he was not a plumber and was not going to connect any sink. I pointed out the other problems and asked him to fix them. He argued for awhile demanding payment.. I told him I would pay him when he corrected the problems. He walked out and then sat outside of my house for almost an hour. I called him to try and resolve the issues. I even offered to pay if he provided a helper. He refused to do so unless I paid him for the complete job. He left and returned with the police. He said I had cheated him and then accused my husband of having threaten him with a knife and he was afraid of him. My husband is 73yrs old, has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and a defibrillator. He never even suggested anything. He and his worker insisted that happened and my husband had to spend a night in jail. He must appear in court on April 26th, so we must retain an attorney."

You should regrout tile every 10 to 15 years, provided it is well-maintained with regular cleaning and sealing. Over time, grout can deteriorate due to exposure to moisture, foot traffic, and the use of cleaning agents. If you start to see cracks, discoloration, crumbling grout, or loose tiles, it’s a sign that regrouting is needed sooner.
The most effective way to clean grout involves a combination of powerful cleaning agents and the right tools. Using a dedicated grout brush intensifies the cleaning process, ensuring a deep clean. Create a powerful homemade solution by mixing baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap to break down deeply embedded dirt. After cleaning, reseal the grout to lock in protection and maintain its appearance.
You can't regrout tile without removing the existing grout and expect good, long-lasting results. You must replace the old grout when it begins to crumble and fail. New grout cannot properly adhere to existing grout, meaning moisture will still reach the damaged layer and cause additional water damage, which will be more costly to deal with in the long run.
Visible indicators, such as cracks, stains, chipping, and mold growth, signal that your grout is compromised and no longer maintains its bonding strength. If you notice these issues, cleaning alone won't restore the grout's integrity. In such cases, consider complete or partial regrouting to preserve your surfaces and prevent further damage.
