"Did not measure properly or take into consideration that he did not know how to do any of the drywall work necessary to complete the project. (We had to hire an additional person, at an additional fee to do the finishing work) He made a hole in the wall behind the bathroom to install plumbing, he did not fix that, said he did not know how to do that. One of the measuring errors occurred due to the fact that he did not remove all of the old walk-in tub materials, which the dry wall person did and fixed the issue with alignment."

The year was 1950, on the heels of the second world war Jack Lavine, a young entrepreneur and heating and air conditioning craftsman opened Lavine & Co., a heating company in Oakland California with a dream and a passion for serving his community. Just a few years later, halfway across the country in the small town of Bessemer, Bob Broman opened Blue Flame Heating with the same dream, drive and passion to help his community thrive in the bitter cold of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Lavine & Co. grew, but slower than they wanted, so they brought in some “fresh blood”, Norm’s son Dale to accelerate growth. It allowed us to focus on the next stage of our repairs the painting and move ahead of schedule.
