"I recently had "out of control" mold issues in the furnace room in my basement. My son and I were both suffering respiratory issues, so it had to be resolved. I brought in a company to test for mold, and ended up hiring them for remediation. When it came to "What do I do now to prevent this in the future?" they were not able to help me. After a search through ND, I came up with the names of several companies, and had all 4 out for a quote. Each person who came told me something different, some of them completely contradictory. (Ex: "There's standing water in that space" vs. "There's no water problem there, it's completely dry" given two days apart.) I came back to ND and did some more searching. This time I noticed one company came up with glowing recommendations over and over again - Healthy Home Restoration. Dennis, the owner, has a real understanding of indoor air quality issues (finally!) and came up with a proposal to encapsulate the space, add some ductwork into the unfinished workspace and put dehumidifiers in both the furnace area and workroom. (Rest of the basement is finished, with standard HVAC duct work.) The team came out and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them! Had I known they could have done the entire job, including the part the first company did to remediate the problem, I would have hired them first. They are the best of the best!"

"Sam and his crew were excellent. They were very professional and polite. They worked hard and thorough. Sam was very attentive to making sure the job was done correctly and done the way that I wanted. He had great communication. We had to battle the elements with a major rainstorm that came through, but they were very adaptable and adjusted to ensure the job was completed properly. I will be using them again for other projects, and I will be recommending them to others."

"I went with Tarheel Basement Systems to have my crawlspace encapsulated. I liked the Sean Madden gave but I have to admit the follow up was spotty. I was given dates work would be done but I had to call to find out exact times. I expected a little more communication but, in the end, Tarheel showed up when they said they would, and they did the work they promised. Macai and Fred did a great job encapsulating the crawlspace. I'm pretty picky and I went down and inspected things myself. There is no way I could have done a good a job as they did. The work these guys do is grueling in unsavory conditions. I had a small issue with the crawlspace door and dehumidifier pump, but both were fixed in short order. In the end I'm happy with how things turned out and I would recommend Tarheel to anyone looking to get their crawlspace encapsulated."

"In October of 2024 Shane came out to give me a quote for yard clean up. After several calls by me, I finally got a start date. Shane called me and said they could start a day early and I was fine with that but they showed up at 5:30pm. I was told they would start at noon. The next day (actual start date) they showed up at 7:30pm and were there for a half hour and left because getting dark. I was told they would be there the next day at 9am. At 10:30am I called Shane asking where the crew was. He actually argued with me telling me they were there. So apparently I was blind. They showed up after 11am and they finished while I was out. Only half the job was done. I emailed all photos of areas not done with pic of contract for those areas quoted. In no way did Shane reach out to see if everything was done. I had to hire another company to finish what they did not do. When I got the bill, I reached out to Shane and said we need to revisit this bill because not everything done. He offered a $150 discount (via Sara's email) which was laughable and said "if ok we will send a new invoice". I sent an email back saying $150 is not acceptable and got no response. No response for 5 months! I got an email 5 months later saying my bill was delinquent but they cut the bill in half. I never received new invoice that showed bill was cut in half till 5 months after my last contact with them. They are not trustworthy and play games. If I could give a zero, I would."

"Juanchi’s R Concrete was just one of six contractors that bid on the job. Juanchi’s price was very competitive with the others, but they were the only company that provided a detailed description of the job at a solid price. They showed up on time and had everything they needed. They cleared a lot of bushes and debris, prepped the area, and poured the driveway. The new drive was poured next to the old, and it matches the existing driveway in color, texture, and looks. My neighbor, a retired cement contractor from Virginia, said their float man was amazing and that I got an excellent price for the job. I fully agree. What impressed me outside of the quality of their work was that when it was time to pay, they did not inflate the price!! And their cleanup was fast and very well done. This fall, I will be adding another driveway and an extension. I will only call one company as their quality and integrity are prodigious. The owner has pride in his work and honor in his words. Their work was stellar, and I have had several neighbors ask who did the work for me and it’s Juanchi’s R Concrete."
