"Recently, Mauricio Rios became owner of SweetGrass Landscaping Solutions LLC. My wife and I consider ourselves lucky to be among his clients, since we have benefitted from his landscaping skills and professionalism since last January. In January JC Landscaping Solutions installed for us their signature walkways made of rectangular paving stones in two shades of gray. They are gorgeous. But, before they could do that, they had to complete the removal of a huge oak tree in our front yard which was infested with carpenter ants. The company we had hired for the job made a mess of it. They managed to destroy our front sidewalk and some bushes and pull down two power lines. WhenJC Landscaping came to our rescue, the stump was five feet high and a huge portion of the trunk lay on the ground. JC Landscaping, with Mauricio as foreman, finished the job for a very reasonable price in five hours. So, we first saw Mauricio welding an ax and operating a stump grinder. We also found that his English is excellent. The company then installed a new sidewalk after removing tree roots which had caused the old one to buckle. As the result of Mauricio's careful supervision, we now have a sidewalk leading to our front steps which is not only beautiful but LEVEL. Next came a connecting walkway which leads to a wheelchair ramp and curves to 17 stepping stones that lead to a lower garden.This was more challenging. The rectangular pavers are straight. They do not bend. Cutting the pavers and fitting them together to make the walkway CURVE up to the wheelchair rampant then CURVE to the steps required great patience and skill. With Mauricio's supervision this was done successfully and the result is beautiful. JC Landscaping also removed the wheelchair ramp, which had seen better days, and built a new one. After that, Mauricio has supervised the planting of grass, the laying of mulch, weeding, mowing, etc. Growing new grass during the hot summer months was difficult, but, as the result of persistence and cooler Fall temperatures, the new grass is healthy and beautiful. As a finishing touch, Mauricio recently installed a tall spiral wind spinner where the oak tree once stood. It puts on quite a show when there is the slightest bit of wind. Mauricio's new company, SweetGrass Landscaping LLC, will now continue for us the fine work done under Mauricio's supervision by JC Landscaping Solutions We couldn't be more pleased. Joe Kitchen"

"We worked with Preston at Earth Artisans on a design for our entire property (front yard, backyard, deck, patio), with an emphasis on solving a drainage problem. Throughout the design phase, Preston listened to what we wanted and also brought his unique ideas to the table. Preston came out to our property several times to visualize things himself and take se measurements. We also met with him several times to iterate through the design process so Preston could make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Together, we created a design that not only solved our problems, but also looked fantastic! He provided a 3D video of what the final product would look like, along with a detailed breakdown and schematics as a PDF. We are very satisfied with the design process and the final product. We also worked with Preston for a â Phase 1â of construction where he coordinated our project with a contracting crew to solve our drainage problem. This project involved turning an unsightly and poorly functioning ditch into a beautiful dry stream bed that would catch all the water running onto our property and direct it away from the house. Preston ran interference between us and the contractors, making sure that their work matched our design. Preston definitely saved us when the crew was underestimating the scale of our water problem. Our new stream bed and usable yard is both gorgeous and functional."
