"Roland and his crew were great! They made the whole process of designing and picking out the materials a breeze! Any problems we came across during the process were addressed and taken care right away! My 35year old deck was replaced with a beautiful new deck that has gotten many compliments! I will be hiring them to do my bathroom remodeling."

"BRM Home Remodeling did a fantastic job of renovating my three bathrooms. Rui and his crew were thoroughly professional from start to finish. Their workmanship was top notch, their prices reasonable (with no hidden fees), they stayed on schedule, and Rui was always available to discuss issues/concerns and monitor progress. Although the project involved a total overhaul of all bathrooms in my home, they planned and executed their work to minimize disruptions to my family, both by staggering their activities to assure that we'd always have at least one fully functioning bathroom, and by thoroughly cleaning up at the end of each workday. There were very receptive to my ideas on things like fixture placement and paint colors, but I'm grateful that they also knew when to speak up when their experience told them some of my design choices just wouldn't work. (I'd rather live with a bruised ego than a poorly-placed shower niche!) Perhaps most importantly, after the project was done and I'd paid the final bill, I noticed a couple minor cosmetic items needing touch-up. I've dealt with some contractors who disappear and don't return calls after the bill is paid, but happily that was NOT the case with BRM. Rui had his crew back at my house within 2 days to fix things. Doesn't get more professional than that! I highly recommend BRM Home Remodeling and look forward to calling on them for my next home improvement project."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
