They corrected a problem in one area with the old sub-floor with clever carpentry. The new carpet was very stiff and very difficult to work with, but the installation is perfect, especially around the old iron radiators where the seams are undetectable."

"My experience with Handyman Connection was terrible. I will never utilize them again and caution others that are considering them. I had a exterior painting project that was quoted in May 2024 and the project was not completed until late September due to the poor work and damages that were caused to my gutter system that I found after they were “finished”. No workers came and informed me of the damages. So when the worker’s came to me to come and take a look at their work I found half my house was painted in a different color than the other half! Eight sections of my gutter system were damaged and needed to be replaced and my brown garage door was now a shade of purple! To top things 25% of the surfaces that were to be painted and included in the original quote was never painted! I was also not informed of this by the workers and found this out when I questioned them. I spoke to Management about my concerns and there was no rush to remedy the situation and no consideration to reducing the quoted price at all. They also left paint on a number of my windows and door frames and when you have bronze frames and beige paint splattered on them it is very obvious to the eye but no effort to remove those spill/drips. I could go on with the issues that I had but I will end by using a very popular saying “Caveat Emptor” or Let the Buyer Beware! They have some good reviews but I certainly do not have anything good to say about the service and the outcome I had with them. I will say the workers themselves were very nice but that’s as much as I can say nice about my experience."

Professionals employ a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining technique, where an epoxy-saturated liner is inserted into the damaged pipe to seal defects. This minimally invasive process avoids digging up your yard and is more cost-effective than replacing the entire pipe, extending the life of your sewer system.
Most newer homes use PVC and ABS piping because they're durable, have smooth interiors that prevent clogs, and are affordable. If your home is older, your pipes might be made of copper, Orangeburg, clay, cast iron, or even lead. It's important to have a plumber inspect your piping before handling it, as some older materials can contain toxic substances.
You can look for several signs to tell if your sewer pipes are damaged. Persistent clogs and frequent sewage backups are common indicators of a problem. Sudden increases in utility bills may signal a leak, while sulfur smells suggest sewage is not properly contained.
