"Jarvis was contacted by home advisor at 3 am because of an electrical issue that needed to be completed asap. Scott returned my call before 8 am that morning and had Mike come shortly thereafter. Mike did an awesome quick job and the price was so reasonable. We will definitely use these guys on all future electrical work because their competitors we have found to be slow and expensive. We are so happy with Jarvis!"

"I requested an estimate online through Angi and Better Business Bureau and was contacted the same day by Hoffman Brothers. They set up an appointment for a free estimate next business day. Hoffman Brothers contacted me before they came . The electrician arrived on time and listened to what problems I was having. To my surprise he not only diagnosed the short in my system and gave me a reasonable quote, he indicated he could fix it there and then. I gave him the go ahead, and had the parts necessary in his truck. He did a great job quickly on the spot and I didnâ t have to wait for an estimate and set up a later appointment. He even looked at another need I had not in the estimate. I recommend this company highly as they do clean fast work at a reasonable price."

"Our experience with Tiger was first-rate: the technician was knowledgeable, courteous, did an excellent job, and was careful to explain all the things he was doing. Our value for the money was certainly excellent. I would only recommend that you check the price on their other services before hiring Tiger: some of their prices seem high."

A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesEdwardsville Electricians are rated 4.6 out of 5 based on 513 reviews of 513 pros.
