"Tri State was prompt—they had a tech out within hours when our 20-year-old HVAC broke down. The repair estimate was $800–$1,200, and they also sent a salesman, Mike, to discuss replacement. Mike was courteous and knowledgeable, but, when we sat down to review the quote, the sales process turned into a bad car-buying experience. They started at $34,000, then "discounted" to $29,300—$10,000 -$12,000 higher than other quotes for the exact same unit. Even factoring in their warranty, they remained $8,000–$10,000 overpriced. Mike also claimed they were a four-generation family-owned business, but I later found out they’re owned by Sila Services, a Goldman Sachs private equity firm—which feels misleading. To their credit, canceling was easy (though I hadn’t signed a financing agreement or put money down). Bottom line: Get multiple quotes. Their pricing was excessive, and the sales tactics felt manipulative."

"Everything went well. The painter did a good job and cleaned up after the job was completed. This last room had wall paper, so he had to steam that off before he could prime the wall and paint. I have used them on 2 occasions and would use them again."

"The service tech came to my home and did an assessment of the issue. Found the leak in the gas line, showed me where it was leaking. He told me what needed to be to fix the leak, gave me a quote, got his tools and started working. The whole process took about 30mins or less and he was done. I checked my burners to make sure the gas was flowing properly. Everything was put back in its original place and there was nothing to clean up afterwards. Great Job. I would recommend this company again."

They did an outstanding job from conception through to the last details in finishing an extensive series of renovations - complete kitchen tear-down and renovation, master bathroom and closet teardown and renovation, two bathroom complete retiling/renovation, building two new rooms out of a very large basement, and replacing two forced air HVAC systems - they managed all aspects including proper construction permits. They did high-quality work at a very good price. They did an outstanding job with the work, with high attention to detail. Their communication was very strong from beginning to finish, their initial plan recommendations were excellent, they made several recommendations to not only make the job better, but also make it more cost effective along the way. They were reliable and consistent, and very genuine, "real" people. I have to imagine there will be very high demand for their services. I can’t recommend highly enough. "They came out on time and fixed the issue, but 1) it took 2 crew to complete the job as the first one didn't have the right tool with them; 2) they walked around in the house on hard-wood floor without PPE/shoe cover when dealing with sewer water back up issue and having the sewer water marks everywhere; 3) it was quite expensive; and 4) I have made a few calls and an email trying to talk with a manager/customer service, but no one answered or returned the call."
