"They were very thorough. They protected my home with plastic and filtration and went above and beyond removing the asbestos tiles. The tile and mastic are completely gone and the floor underneath is smooth. I never would have been able to do that on my own! They even moved the hot water heater to get tiles from underneath which I did not expect. 10/10 would recommend!!!"

"We called Envirgo to have tile removed, tested and encapsulate the flooring on Wednesday, Dec 10, 2025. Nobody was on these floors until I walked in today and discovered that the encapsulation fluid was sprayed on my walls. Yes it is a water based sealant but the paint inside the house is also water based. My fiancé will be calling the company later today to see if we can get this resolved, because I will not be wiping these walls down because I don't want to take off the paint. If you look at the pictures, you can see where the paint is already starting to come off.Because of this encapsulation. I do not recommend them and I will not recommend them to my family or friends unless they fix this to my satisfaction."

"From start to finish, DJK was amazing. Vanessa was extremely helpful and communicative. Alyssa did an amazing job explaining the process and Brain was amazing with the inspection. The crew that came out to do the actual asbestos abatement were very professional. The site supervisor called ahead of time so we knew when they would arrive. They were very respectful of the property and surprisingly clean for a job that’s not clean at all. For the quality of work, the amazing communication, the speed of the crew, you can’t beat their price. I contacted 6 companies and DJK had the best price."

"Doug and his crew did excellent job! Words cannot express the appreciation for his service. Its not just the service that's important its the customer service. Having to deal with bed bugs is a time consuming, life derailing & stressful event. This is a time when a calm and professional voice is needed and Doug gets 6 out of 5 stars for that. This becomes even more important with a rental property where customer service should be a the forefront of any investor or property mangers list. My journey started with bed bugs being found in one unit. That lead to many hours of research, videos and lots of conflicting information. Ultimately heat treatment was decided upon from a service (not Affordable Bed Bug Exterminators). About a week later active bed bugs were found in that same unit. The entire property was then searched with a dog and they found bugs in two additional units. I'll spare the details other than the service was rather rude to the tenants and was always concerned about how much time they were spending at the property. One unit had some clutter and they refused to guarantee the work until most of the item were discarded. That experience lead me to Doug at Affordable Bed Bug Exterminators. Doug took the time to walk me through the process. His staff also did this at the property calming and assuring the residents. Honestly, all the calming and reassuring will not matter unless there are results and those results were spectacular! Doug has a newer chemical called Aprehend that required very little prep work from the tenants and was effective. Please look Aprehend product up on-line for details. In essence, the bed bugs come into contact with Aprehend and become infected. They then bring this back and infect the nest. This product can get to the bugs where heat may not. The proof is in the results and after only one treatment there have been no bugs for over 5 months now."

FAQs for asbestos abatement projects in Elm Grove, WI

Asbestos is a group of six naturally occurring mineral fibers once commonly used in building materials because of their resistance to heat, electricity, and corrosion. However, in 1975, research confirmed that these fibers cause mesothelioma and other cancers, leading to strict usage laws. If your home contains asbestos, removing it can prevent long-term health effects. You'll often find asbestos in the flooring, ceilings, pipes, and roofing of homes built before the 1990s. Common asbestos-containing materials include vermiculite insulation, vinyl flooring, millboard, and corrugated roofing. If you suspect you have asbestos or any of these materials in your home, it's important to hire a reputable abatement company to perform testing.

Currently, there is no federal licensing mandate for asbestos removal contractors. However, certain cities and states require certification and specialized training. For example, in some areas, contractors handling asbestos must receive an Asbestos Handler Certification. Be sure to check your local laws to ensure any contractor you hire meets the necessary requirements.

Homes constructed before the 1990s can conceal asbestos within building materials, and testing provides a definitive answer. You should have your home tested by a certified asbestos inspection service. This professional evaluation identifies hazardous materials and determines whether removal or encapsulation is necessary. Testing safeguards your family’s health and supports smart budgeting for remediation.

Federal law does not require you to disclose the presence of asbestos when selling your home. However, certain states and local jurisdictions impose disclosure regulations that you must follow. Testing and professional remediation confirm that hazardous materials are properly managed. This proactive approach not only meets legal requirements but also protects your property’s value and buyer health.

Asbestos removal affects a home’s resale value because hazardous materials can deter potential buyers. Having toxic substances present lowers buyer confidence and may reduce the property’s value by 1% to 15% if not addressed. Professional remediation ensures safety standards are met and preserves marketability, protecting your long-term investment.

Grants exist at both federal and state levels to support asbestos testing and removal projects. Local housing programs may also offer financial assistance when asbestos is discovered during home repairs. Meeting certification and testing standards is required to secure these funds, which help to manage overall project costs while ensuring safe remediation.
