"This company was chosen based on price. My quote from other pros was $400-$800 higher than Dave's. They say don't just jump on the cheapest quote. Well I did, and am I glad I didn't pay a premium price for the exact same quality work. I had a sidewalk and concrete patio poured. They used the same base material, reinforcement wire, expansion joints and jumped right on the project on the first dry weekend this spring. Completed in two days plus removal of forms after cure. ABSOLUTELY SATISFIED! If you want to pay more, look for someone else."

Pool Building
"We had a inground pool installed this past year by Chad Zaber construction The planning, the workmanship and finished product were nothing short of outstanding. All deadlines were met or exceeded, which is a very rare thing to happen in todayâ  s world with a shortage of labor. Chad laid out a plan, communicated the plan and delivered. I would highly recommend Zaber construction for any inground pool or any other construction projects that he does. Chad is a rarity in todayâ  s unstable contractor world. Also the follow up throughout the summer and through the closing on the pool was outstanding. Chad had great follow up and answers any questions that we needed throughout the season. "I was in need of a contractor to do some work in one of my rental condominiums that I was preparing to put on the market. Bob and his crew did extensive renovation work of my rental condominium on the Gold Coast in Lakewood. All rooms were renovated with limited work done in the bathroom. Excellent work and great attention to detail. I have other rental condominiums that I will absolutely use Great Lakes Painting and Construction to renovate. Working with Bob and his crew was great, hard workers and they took pride in their work. I will absolutely use them to do work in my home."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
