Since 1996 I have worked in the construction trades, I started young as a finish worker, as a ceramic and Porcelain Tile installer and worked for masters who helped me to expand into all aspects of residential construction, including electrical and plumbing. I have since brought on board some great Artisans who take pride in the quality and appearance of their work. We can take care of most of your construction projects and our specialty is high end custom finishes. We give the same care and attention to whatever we are working on. Our specialty is Bathrooms, But we have built three tiny homes of various sizes and we can build your ADU as well. We look forward to hearing from you, to discuss your needs.
"The Artisan team removed our old tile and installed 12x24 inch Travertine in our family, laundry, and bathroom. The new floor looks amazing!!! Their craftsmanship truly shone when they took the time to individually shape each tile to conform to the irregular shape of the rock around our fireplace. They also did a fantastic job removing and replacing the existing baseboards. They were very punctual, extremely thoughtful and well organized! We would highly recommend them and definitely hope to use their services in the future. They were lovely people to have in our home and we are so grateful!"

"Henry with MC Tile responded by text on 12-9-21 that I requested a quote. I texted back and described the job and sent him pictures of the area. On 12-13-21, he sent his brother, Manuel, to measure the area so he can properly give me a quote. On 12-14-21, Henry texted me with a quote of $1300 which I accepted, and we scheduled the work to start on 12-21-2021. On 12-21-21, Henry sent his work, Jairo, to do the work. Jairo did not speak English, but the job was completed on 12-22-21. I put in a sealed envelope $1300 and gave it to Jairo on 12-22-21. Jairo came back on 12-23-21 to apply grout sealer and Henry called and asked for $200 more which I gave to Jairo in a sealed envelope to give to Henry. On 12-29-21, I notice chunks of grout and white powder coming off the tile, so I texted Henry about the problem and sent him a picture. And Henry responded to let me know that he will fix it. On 12-30-21, I noticed more chunks of grout was coming off, so I sent Henry another picture. Henry texted back "Don't worry, I'll fix what needs to be fixed". Eventually, Henry scheduled to come back on 1-7-22 at 9am to fix the problem. However, morning of 1-7-22, Henry texted and said he had an emergency and asked me to reschedule to the following Friday 1-14-22 at 9am and I agreed. However, on 1-14-22, I waited till 10:05 am but Henry did not arrive. I texted and called him several times throughout the day to find out if he was coming and did not receive any responses. The problem has worsened as the day passes; more grout is coming off the tiles. I texted Henry again this morning 1-17-22 and he has not responded. The person who did the tile work used my flower pots as his garbage can leaving me with a lot of clean up in my garden. And he did not cover my black granite countertop before starting the work causing my countertop to get stained with white stuff which was a chore to clean up. Henry's quote included clean up and that they would take away all the garbage from the job"

"TL;DR Kandy and her team are amazing! They do great work at a fair price, were kind over the phone and in person, and accommodated our needs throughout the whole process. 150% HIRE THEM! I had a very small tile removal job. About 70 square feet. It was very hard to find a contractor that would work on such a small job. Well below their minimum job scope. Kandy was so kind when she called. Her tile install team booked through the month, but Kandy reached out directly to here demolition team on my behalf. She helped me find a pro that would work on my small job after work even if it didn't benefit her business directly. The demo job was done over 2 afternoons as a side gig (less than a week from my first call with Kandy). The price was very fair, and the pro did an excellent job. Finding a professional was frustrating, but I am grateful and thankful for working with Kandy Tile! ??"

You should regrout tile every 10 to 15 years, provided it is well-maintained with regular cleaning and sealing. The most effective way to clean grout involves a combination of powerful cleaning agents and the right tools. Using a dedicated grout brush intensifies the cleaning process, ensuring a deep clean. Create a powerful homemade solution by mixing baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and dish soap to break down deeply embedded dirt. After cleaning, reseal the grout to lock in protection and maintain its appearance.
You can't regrout tile without removing the existing grout and expect good, long-lasting results. You must replace the old grout when it begins to crumble and fail. New grout cannot properly adhere to existing grout, meaning moisture will still reach the damaged layer and cause additional water damage, which will be more costly to deal with in the long run.
Visible indicators, such as cracks, stains, chipping, and mold growth, signal that your grout is compromised and no longer maintains its bonding strength. If you notice these issues, cleaning alone won't restore the grout's integrity. In such cases, consider complete or partial regrouting to preserve your surfaces and prevent further damage.
