We are a local family owned home improvement company with a combined 30 years of experience in home improvement and construction. Our company principle is "people before profit" we believe in the saying “Do it once, Do it right”
"I regret hiring Cobex to install a new roof on my house. They took five months to begin work and took twice as long as expected to complete. We asked the sales crew for custom skylights and to repair dry rot on the architectural details of the house. None of these details were passed to the construction crew and during construction, we were told the custom skylights would not be covered under warranty. It also became apparent that they did not have the expertise to handle the carpentry work for the dry rot repair. I had to manage the project daily to direct the repair work and point out corrections. In the end, we didn't get the skylights we agreed to and the dry rot repair and detail work was subpar. They missed areas of dry rot and used inferior wood. Also, Cobex did not tarp the roof before a predicted rain storm and damage was done to the interior ceiling, walls, furniture and carpet. Five other homes they were working on were also affected. I hired another contractor and did work myself to make repairs they missed since I did not trust Cobex's workmanship. We were given a discount but that did not cover the cost of additional repairs and rainwater damage."

The company owner, Andrew Wright is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), which specializes in designing homes for all ages and abilities. Our Design/Build firm supplies all the steps from concept to completion. We use 3D computer modeling to prepare drawings for our customers. Our designer helps selecting the right products, colors and styles to compliment your home. Once designs are completed and pricing is finalized, we apply for permits as required. We introduce our Lead Carpenter before the project begins and plan with you how the daily schedule will work. We believe in communication! We use 'dust walls' to help control the mess and do a daily sweep to keep things safe and clean. At the end of the project, our professional cleaner wipes everything down so our owner's only need to move back into their beautiful space. After the project is done, the designer and Andy Wright meet with the owner and walk the project to assure we have met and exceeded our clients expectations. We deliver a written warranty to our customers and are happy to take care of any issues that may pop up. "It went marvelously. I waited to write this review until we got a good rain and heavy snow fall. June 2019, Stegman Roofing tore off two layers of roofing and replaced about 5 sheets of plywood sheeting and then laid down an ice and water shield and then tiger paw underlay and then "lifetime" true definition shingles. It looks great. Then, late spring, 2019, rain, lots of rain; still no leaks. Then, December 2019, came a snow storm that laid down more snow than any single storm has in the 25 years we've lived here--18". The snow stayed on the roof for over a week; still no leaks. His workers installed our new roof with such care they said is the same care they would give to their own grandmothers' roofs. How sweet and comforting that was to hear, and, after getting to know the workers, I believe they were sincere, truly sincere. NO LEAKS WHAT SO EVER! Now I should be happy with this new roof for the rest of my "lifetime.""
