In order to maintain Audubon status, these areas must be low-maintenance, esthetically pleasing and provide natural food and shelter for native wildlife. IPM is an acronym for Integrated Pest Management, an approach to dealing with the various pests of crops, landscapes, and structures, which incorporates multiple concepts from the disciplines of systems science, and ecology.
